  • Notorious is a good album, the problem is that it isn't new wave or even synthpop, its really more funk pop.

  • nice packing! nice dvd, BUT!!!! sorry but the remasters really sucks!!!!! keep your vinyls or the 90s remasters! this 2010 is another example of loudness war...

  • the feeling , touch the album... revival, songs, you got it...notorious the number two after rio

  • Is Notoriousaurus Rex the longer version, with Proposition in it?

  • got this set too, I thought Notorious was right up there with Rio, but would have to say Big thing out did notorious overall.

  • I forgot about So Misled. Yeah, that was pretty weak too. I also wasn't crazy about Meet El until it was remixed for the single.

  • You know, it's funny, I remember your reaction to "Notorious" being a lot less positive when it came out in 1986. I particularly remember you not liking "Hold Me" and mocking it...

Personally, I found that it is a weak album with many duds like "Winter Marches On" (and on and on and on...). And now that I've heard the original Andy Taylor version of "Matter Of Feeling", I have a hard time listening to the version on Notorious. But I'll probably get this anyhow.

  • @gurudata funny replying to you on here LOL

I didn't care for Hold Me Or American Science at the time because those were the two track you gave me aside from Notorious when you made me a Greatest Hits cassette (You thought they would be singles) but once I heard the full album I loved it, Skin Trade Meet El, Vertigo, I love Matter Of Feeling and Proposition. The only song I don't like much is So Misled, I agree Winter is a weaker track, still one of their best albums IMO.

  • @gurudata also remember I bought the Master Mixes double rare vinyl, that should prove I liked the album.

  • thank you for sharing this.

i was really interested to see how this was packaged.

a great album with the fantastic nile rogers producing as you said.

let us know your thoughts on the dvd!
