  • are Newfoundlands okay in apartments? or in a one story house? Dogs 101 said that they are but im not sure...

  • I had a 250 nfld dog as my babysitter when i was a little girl, some of my first memories are of her ^_^ her name was Boots

  • newfounlands really love kids

  • isn't that a little dangerous? What if the dog ate poop moments before and ecoli got into the baby's mouth :/

  • OMG THATS ADORABLE!!! Newfies are the best dogs in the entire universe!!!!! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

  • actually, since dogs have less taste buds they accumualte less germs. I don't know how but they do, so it's safe and all. I love newfies! They're the BEST!!!

  • newfoundlands are so good with kids its quite amazing

  • this makes me miss my newfie so much!! RIP Kodi!

  • R.I.P Sorry to read that your lovely dog died....Im sure he is in a good place chewing on a nice big bone :)

  • i feel ur pain...R.I.P Cerberus

  • aw =[ RIP its the worst when they die because they have such human like qualities it's like you've lost a sister or a borther. mine died young too =[ he had hip dysplasia which is very common in newfies. =[

  • aww, the dog and the baby were so adorable!

  • "You got some strained carrots on your chin. Wait, let me get it..."

  • dogs tounges are very clean probally alot cleaner than yours

  • @coalition1012 this is not actually true, that is an old myth, the fact is that dogs chew on alot of things that have tonnes of bacteria on them and their mouths ARE much dirtier than a humans. This myth came from people watching dogs lick their wounds, people assumed that the dogs tongues had healing properties and must be clean, but infact, your dog licks his butt and chews on whatever he wants, so im sorry no offense, but dogs mouths are not cleaner than a persons. ^_^ beautiful dog btw

  • @KatsuMacKinncheez Saliva in general does contain a lot of anti-bacterial and anti-viral compounds.

  • awe.. so cute!

  • Newfs are that to which all other dogs strive to be

  • That's soo adorable!!

  • One drool monster deserves another!! LOL

  • awesome thank you!

  • adorable! i plan to get a newfie when i get a house. are they good with cats? i plan to get a newfie puppy. i currently have two cats. and im also deaf, is newifes good with deafies? let me know

  • Our Newfie is great with cats - he is very popular in the neighbourhood since he is so gentle and friendly. There are several cats that know Sam and will come up to him nose-to-nose, and one has been known to rub up against him. If you introduce a puppy to your two cats, the Newfie should be fine with them. I'm not sure if one would be helpful with your impaired hearing - but they are trainable, so you'll be happy. They are so friendly.

  • There's a video on youtube about a lady who has trained her newfy max, to be a service dog because she suffers from anxiety - check out the video!

The good thing about newfs is that they are so eager to please you that they will pretty much learn anything, so i'm sure you could train a newf to be a hearing dog.

    Good luck!

  • where is the video?! i want to see!!!

  • if you bring newf puppy home and introduce him to a cat and if a cat will accept him they'll be friends for life.. but if that cat attacks a little newfy he'll be scared for life and he'll hate 'em all. that's how newfies are. if someone is nice to them they will return that niceness 100x more.

  • damn right i love u LOL
