It was a fecetious statement. What' I'm insinuating is that Floyd's defense is most effective when the fighter is in close quaters. Pacquiao's best chance to win this fight isn't being up close because his punches are too wide and telegraphed. Floyd will be able to counter in between his punches all night and break him down. Manny will probably be most successful on the outside using his speed and countering Mayweather as he comes as Zab did to him for 4 rounds..

It was a fecetious statement. What' I'm insinuating is that Floyd's defense is most effective when the fighter is in close quaters. Pacquiao's best chance to win this fight isn't being up close because his punches are too wide and telegraphed. Floyd will be able to counter in between his punches all night and break him down. Manny will probably be most successful on the outside using his speed and countering Mayweather as he comes as Zab did to him for 4 rounds..

You may have a point? Styles make fights though and the experts are wrong at least half of the time when it comes to competitive match-ups. We'll just have to see what happens if they ever fight. I'm not a Floyd hater at all but I really like Shane.Mayweather has what it takes to win, all the tools including confidence. Shane's no dog though, even despite his 5 losses. I also think Shane is going into this one with confidence himself but the edge stays with Floyd.

You know, I have to be honest. I'm giving Shane a great chance at victory. I don't think he'll win, but I think his chances are high. He's the best fighter Floyd has faced. I can't however say the same about Mayweather.. Mosley has fought with prime fighters. Maybe his experience will shine.. like you said, we'll just have to wait and see. Who are you rooting for?

I have to admit, for the love of boxing you have to go with Mosley. One loss will not hurt Floyd the way another loss will hurt Shane. We need a new Sugar for the latest generation!
Mosley has fought guys even his handlers advised him against because he wanted to prove he was really the best. A loss for Mayweather will not do him any good, but he has plenty of time to redeem himself with guys like Pac still out there. The clock is ticking for shane.

... dude, he may have struggled against Marquez but that was before HIS improvement... if you watched all his fights, you'll notice that starting his knockout of Diaz, he has incredibly improved his right shots... because of that, he killed both Dela Hoya (TKO 8) and Hatton (TKO 2) w/c, for Mayweather was only split decision and TKO 10 respectively... but, you'll never know the odds... for me, i see both the possibility of both guys winning and losing...

Dela hoya was drained before the fight because he hasnt fought at that weight since 2001. Hatton lost the fight before he got into the ring. Im not trying to knock his credentials in any way, just wondering whether he would of got where he is today if the decision was the otherway against Marquez. Its weird because at the lower weights, Pacman was always the bigger guy, but now he looks right at home at welter. I also think Pacman's true weight was always at light welter/ welter because of his size in the lower weights. He is a freak because he could strip the weight with ease. Now he doesnt have to look at cutting weight and work more on tactics and his own technical ability because this weight suits him.I think the Myth surrounding his size can now be put to bed. Against Hatton, Cotto and even Dela hoya, he looked bigger than his opponent. His weight has never been an issue just a myth.

Just because Pacman has performed in the lower weights, doesnt mean he isnt as big as Cotto or Hatton when he moves up. Naturally he looks in much better shape, physically and mentally at welterweight.
Hatton is only about 1/2 inches taller, but has near enough the same reach. Cotto may of had a bigger reach, but not by much. They take meaurements before a fight, e.g. size of chest, biceps etc But Pacquiao, against both hatton and Cotto was similar to both, maybe evena bit bigger.
