You're wrong... perhaps it's a nationalistic projection that I wouldn't "find hk movies or anything in cantonese funny". I have well over 1000 HK films, and I enjoy SB, Sing Jai, Sammo, Mr Vampire films, or the Hui Bros, far more than any western comedy or comedians.

We may not get all the jokes, but then I know native Canto speakers that don't find Sing at all funny. Or, for that matter, think that any HK films are worth anything at all.
