@gfromtha713 The V8 version is better bang for your buck when it comes to track use. Look how at Tsukuba it bests the V10 version at time attack: watch?v=9wYe8Hf62QI (go to 7:06). Of course on other tracks the V10 will be better but still that's pretty close lap times when you consider the price difference. The V10 sounds WAY better though.

For me though, V8 with proper manual & save 40k to buy an S4 for the winter. :-)

Personally, if i had the money i'd get the R8, it has a more aggresive design and its easier to drive due to four wheel drive, not to mention that a porsche has all the weight at the back, making it harder to drive. M4WD better than RR. :)

Audi moved up a lot. There cars are very classy and modern. My bros mate purchased A3 cabriolet and Q7. and also saw some other cars. they are very well built and the quality is top. Its not wrong to say that back in the day they were proberbly inspired by mercedes and bmw. they have now overtaken them in my opinion. Audi could quite easily have been designed by a woman. The design is very nice and just isnt squarish and boring. I like what audi have done. GTR interior is good too.

The GT-R costs that little because it's cheaply made. As nice a car it is and as fast as it is, the Audi is significantly better in overall quality, balance, looks and - this is very important, imo - SOUND. Have you heard this thing? If you had the money to spend on an Audi R8, and you were keen, you wouldn't change your mind and go for a Nissan, no matter how good it is. Lastly, though the GT-R proves to be very quick, on a real road with real corners the GT-R would not be quicker. Guaranteed.

Actually yes, I have sat in the R8 and alot of the switches and climate control buttons feel cheap. Yes I'm aware of Audi's heritage in the 1930s with Mercedes and other european racing teams from the auto manufacturers of their day, I never said that they didn't have racing hertiage. Im sure if you invested the extra $70k into a GTR, that you save from buying the $150k R8 V10, it'll outperform the Audi with no troubles, but yeah as it sits, yeah, the Audi R8 V10 is faster and more powerful..

The Gallardo and the R8 only share 15% of their parts, mostly minor stuff like door locks, etc.

The VW parent company actually makes different cars, it doesn't simply make minor changes and rebadge a car then sell it under a different name and claim it is a different car, like Chevrolet, Ford and Chrysler. Probe=MX6, Cavalier=Sunfire.

Brendan, the Volkswagen company always make cars of one platform and rebadge them like Audi,Seat,Skoda,VW. Example Volkswagen Polo is Seat Ibiza and Skoda Octavia, nly the shape of the metal is different. Example the Audi TT(1) is the new Beetle and VW Golf Mark4 and Seat Leon1. The platform concept is used a long time ago and used in all Volkswagen companys to save money.

I owned a Stealth, absolutely everything except body panels and rims was Mitsubishi, even the stereo had a big Mitsubishi logo on it.

My point is that at least VW's changes are more than cosmetic.
