  • Dan Barrett is on trombone (on tour) and I was fortunate to have him play my Wild Cards Jazz at the Millenium gig at the Puget Sound Traditional Jazz Society. He is a good friend as were all the WCJ musicians and most stayed at our home - Now that was a crazzy weekend! Crazzy stories as well. R

  • can you post Woody playing Rugged cross Please

    Thank you

    Gus

  • Anyone know the song he plays? I've seen this film before but I cannot seem to track this song down.

  • It's Lonesome Road - "look down, look down, that lonesome road, before you travel on"

  • Who composed this piece?

  • OK - I know it was recorded by Sinatra on his 1957 album 'A Swinging Affair' and a Sinatra lyrics website credits the composers as Gene Austin & Nathanial Shillet. Also states it comes originally from Showboat 1929. Hope that is of some help.

  • The song is a black spiritual, as far as I know. It's been done by many Bluesmen, including Snooks Eaglin and Lonnie Johnson. Austin and Shillet aren't the real composers.

  • Woody allen, you are the universe. From argentina I send my love to you

  • QUE GRANDE ERES WWODY
