Incredible KO by Norris. But this wasn't the same Mugabi that ran up a huge streak of KO wins. He had been broken by Hagler, and was drained to make the weight. Still, none of that was Norris fault, and he fought with fury for this impressive win.
Terry Norris should've been on Fight Night Round 4!! He was one of the most exciting fighters in the early 90's!! He claims that Whitaker and Chavez were ducking him!! Sometimes I believe him!! Anyone whoever saw this man fight knows that he had a killer instinct and quick hands!! He was fun to watch early in his career!!
@poeticjigga let's be fair here. chavez was great at 140 and below, and whitaker was fighting above his best weight even at 147. norris was a bonafide 154, and could have even been dominant at 160 if he had a better chin.
norris was one of my favourite fighters growing up, and i still think he's one of the greatest junior middleweights of all-time, but i can't figure how guys who never fought in his weight class until they were washed-up possibly be ducking him.
i would hardly ever bet against the younger guy and this fight bears my theory out norris 22 mugabi 30 an 8 years age difference overall norris may be up there but he lost 9 fights and he was ko'd in his last fight when he was 31
Terry "TNT Norris....I really enjoyed watching him fight. I met him in a Hotel in Seattle Wa. The SD Charges were playing the Seattle Seahawks...wonderful guy...Bless you TNT..
This fight was broadcasted on ABC. Man I wish boxing was back on network TV (ABC, NBC, CBS). Dan Dierdorf (sorry if I misspelled last name) and Alex Wallau were a good tandom.
impressing stuff

TERRY NORRIS has an amazing heart for taking this fight
i would never fight mugabi
not well known out of boxing and dynamite in both hands
and he wont hesitate to swing 100 hayemakers if he has too

@zenmachinefilms WTF are you talking about? Mugabi fought the majority of his career at 154 that was his weight

Mugabi was totally washed up here and massively weight drained. Eons removed from his prime.

Magabi was never the same fighter after losing to hagler - he seemed like a broken man, as though his spirit had been broken
