Good voice, but I cant stand that song. Most likely because this is probablly one of those songs that can NOT be appreciated without instrumental music. People to need to pick their songs better. You need to ensure its a song that can be appreciated without music.

Oh! Don't even get me started. She was the best singer as of yet and this is season 10. For her to not have won that season was criminal. best audition. Best season, but she did not win. Same goes for Mandisa in one of the next seasons. That girl could also sing, but was cut out way too soon. However, Melinda would win if it was Melinda vs. Mandisa.

Simon was terribly stereotyped as being Mr. nasty. He really was extremely intelligent and took his job quite seriously, in spite of the silliness on the side. When Simon spoke, people listened, as he was really the one everybody listened to and respected. As for Doolittle, outstanding vocals. When she finished, it was so quiet you could hear a pin drop.

Jordan sparks has a more mainstream voice, and on a show called american IDOL, it is more appropriate to pick the singer that is going to have more mainstream success after the show

@WackoJacko1193 The show should drop the pretense of being a singing competition because it is not. Melinda is a better singer than Jordan. It isn't even close. I know Jordan is young and bubbly and that attracted a lot of fans but listening to her sing live was not always pleasant. Her pitch and her vibrato need a lot of work.

Idol is a popularity contest. Very few Idol winners have actually had either the best voice or the most post show success compared to the other contestants from their season. Carrie and Kelly are the obvious exceptions. I think most of the Idol voters vote based on personality. Taylor Hicks winning his season is a good example. I think he is a talented guy but he clearly hasn't had as must post show success as others from his season.
