I just bought nokia n900 and I don't know if I should regret it. Without comparing it with other phones, it is great with its multitasking capability, fast interface and AVI video support. But then since it is the last Maemo OS that Nokia will be using, I'm not sure if I can survive with n900 for the coming years.

Help! Should I just change my phone? Or should I stick with this all the way though?

@ellameiemalle im not a tech geek neither am I stupid. I have had this phone since about nov 09. This is a horrible phone in my opinion. It had a lot of potential but nokia forgot about it. EX:there is a front camera, and there is no app to use the front camera. *there is a third party app, but it doesnt do anything) it took them 5 months to bring out ovi store(early '10) it is now february '11, 15 months later, and we are still using ovi store beta, with horrible apps. return asap!

Screen - bigger.

Keyboard - bigger, more keys.

Better stand - like the N810

Higher capacity battery - at least 1,500Mah, like the N810

Home key and maybe zoom/ media/call keys?

No one probably watches this video anymore, but I've got an N900 and it's not bad. The resistive screen is actually quite good! Shame I lost the stylus!  Nokia do some to have abandoned this phone, though that was pretty evident from the beginning, but only if you were somewhat geeky =). Still, here are the main ways I would improve it:

I think nokia seems to have abandoned this phone, there hasnt been an update for it in ages and they seem to be focusning on other models with differing operating systems, it seems this one may have just been a guinea pig to see how the public took to it, i have one myself and its not a bad phone altho not too keen on the plastic like resistive screen, the thing is there isnt any apps as such for it The market is very limited and i dont think companies are taking the risk as the phone appea

What a sad phone it's a big fat brick for starters keyboard is the worse iv'e seen for a new phone for a long time. Only 65k colours? The screen display in menu looks washed out and blocky Nokia are still using low resolution in their menus, only high resolution for browser and games. Nokia's gone backwards here. Resistive screen? why would they use a resistive touch screen when the phone is marketed as a internet device you need a responsive screen for browsing it couldn't even play youtube lol

u talk about resistive trust nokia screen is very responsive just coz of there technology. they are not using that old touch screen that use too press when u use to touch. it has sensors all over the screen, low resolution i agree but the screen is capable of more than 65k ,waiting for new software verssion to take care of it,

Apple only started well because they had their branding of Apple, obviously people who owned Mac's before Apple made phones would lean towards the iPhone, considering how large Apple is as a company, i expected allot more from them. For features and functions that you can get a different phone with similar features. Then Apple charges allot more than its rivals. @TheGrammy2015 yeah get a netbook or something. you can do ok wiht a normal phone and a notebook. the nokias notebook is quite good. it has a 12 hour battery life. for comparison, my big brothers large laptop has only >4 hours

@FireOFK lol it's no slouch, its hardware specs match the iphone 3gs and he was no doubt using the first software release. the updates smooth things up even better, and extra can be gained by just overclocking the cpu; it sounds risky but the a8 cpu inside is practically the same as the iPad's, which is clocked at 1ghz. as such this phone runs quite well at 800mhz, 900mhz even 1ghz. it's a beast, hahaha you should probably test one out before you say it's horrible...makes you sound less...fail.

N900 kestää normikäytössä n. yhden päivän, mutta jos sulkee pois WLANin, bluetoothin, GPSn, facebookin kaltaiset widgetit, yms. niin saa akkukestoa lisättyä jo yli kahteen päivään helposti. Eihän se vieläkään häävi ole, muttei aivan surkeakaan näinkin hinolle ja tehokkaalle laitteelle.

Mielestäni tähän löytyy sovellus Maemon sivuilta, sovellus sulkee käyttäjän määrittämät omiaisuudet napin painalluksella ja samoten käynnistää ne taas.
