i found this in someones collection and waited with baited breath til i got it in my hands alas i lost all my cd collection so no longer have this ...one day it will return come back earthling
Pure Genius. The uk should be bending over backwards to support homegrown poet rappers like MAU. This guy makes all the money flash and posturing from US acts laughable. He's been missing in action way too long. Earthling - Dirty Beatniks - Telepopmusik & now 2011 sees the return of Earthling as their third album is released. check it, buy it , spread it !
Like everyone else, one of my all time favourites. Only had it on a cassette single. I hate gangsta rap because it's moronic and predictable. I also hate all that macho posturing. This is a different beast, awesome fluid lyrics, more like poetry. Oh gosh oh gosh, I'm Juliette Binoche!!!!!!
Believe it or not, I've been looking for this video for 15 long years and I finaly find it ! I did not know who sing ! Thanks alot for posting it-it is deep !
Heh, I know that feeling. Having an on and off earworm for YEARS, and having NO ONE know what you're talking about. It's so frustrating. I was that wasy for Suzanne Vega's - Tom's Diner. Isn't it so awesome when you FINALLY find it though!?
Me too, I heard this late on Radio 1 when I was 15 and I've wanted to hear it again ever since then - 15 years ago. I just remembered the refrain and when he says "I'm that man from 1686 saying black people come from Venus."
anyone know what anyone from this band is up to now? i loved their singles and album from back then but as we know they were overlooked by the Tricky/Portishead/Massive outfits media wise
Thanks for putting this up. Love those wicked Earthling lyrics. Been listening to Radar every once and again for the last... 13?? years or so, it's still an excellent album, IMO
i LOVE this song and if i met mau i would have to hug him.
i once got stuck on a train with only one tape for my cassette walkman and it was this album -- radar. i can listen to it over and over and NEVER GET BORED! it is BRILLIANT!
i'm michelangelo working on a totem pole,
i'm galileo studying shinto!!!
i never understood why people were putting coolio at number one when this was around!
I'm literally sitting in a lecture room having a lesson with one of the old members of Earthling. Be jealous.

Is this something or what? I have just ordered my copy of Radar today from the local music store. Pretty hard to get....
Must be the most overlooked artists of the decade. Time for a revival or second try...
