No doubt, the iPhone 4g will have some nice upgrades, the only thing dissapointing is that the screen is smaller.

Actually Lg had touch screen phones overseas similar to the Iphone before the Iphone even came out. The Iphone it's just big in the U.S. there plenty of other phones overseas that run circles around the Iphone and in my opinion so does the PRE... there coming out with the 3rd Iphone and there is no real upgrade more memory and some camera features but nothing innovative or game changing...

with the exception of the tech flaw with the battery, the pre is awesome. It breaks so many rules and pulls so many things together in a way never even conceived of on any device (portable or not)! And to think, you could just throw it away, buy a new one, and not loose a single bit of information! This phone has the most bomb integration of social networking and other information, organized in the most logical way. I am way sold

I would never switch from verizon to Sprint just to get the iphone. I like Verizon too much. Also, I would have a hard time deciding whether to get the iphone when it comes to Verizon because I would get rid of my current ipod because the iphone has it all-in-one and if I decide to get a new phone I would have to get a new ipod again because there goes all my music.

I will compare Apple iphone and Palm Pre to xbox 360 and PS3.Iphone has more apps(50000)

Palm has 30000 previous apps that work like PS2 games on PS3.Palms Pre's new apps are rolling in everyday by the same makers of iphone apps and look better and do more because Palms synergy and cloud system.

Palms Pre camera better,mutitask,wireless charger,keyboard(basically same size Iphones on screen keyboard easier to type) are better

Pre syncs wireless unless u use itunes to transfer songs to Pre.

In my opinion, the dogfight is biased because everyone likes to see something new whereas the iphone is an amazing phone but its old and everyone is hyped up about all the new phones. To be honest, the pre is a good phone too but its an iphone on steroids. All the latest, top-of-the-line touchscreen phones have all been compared to the iphone. All due respect, we need a reviewer who considers originality. That's just my thoughts. Still Noah is THE man. :)

I was just talking about this with a friend today. The pre's screen is brighter than the iphone and the iphone is useable in sunlight. I was suprised living in such a bright place that I could use the phone in direct sunlight with ease

thanks. Did you mean you used PP in direct sunlight? Because I'm not sure it's all about brightness. I had samsung phones which had super bright screens but outside I could hardly see anything on the screen. Ditto HTC phones. I think better brightness doesn't necessary mean better sunlight legibility. I think it's to do with the quality of the display, combination of colors etc..not sure. If I turn brightness of my ipod classic down to 50% or less it's still perfectly legible outside. Any idea?

In Bel Air/CA, all the way at the top of the mountain, my old ATT could never had any signals, after I switched to Sprint, I can get signals now, and I had very very a few dropped calls compare to ATT. However, ATT has much much better looking phones than Sprint. Even with the same brand same model, Sprint always bastardize the design. Kind like Ford or GM importing their Euro car designs to the US market, they bastardize the designs to make them look cheaper and uglier.

it honestly depends on what you want out of your phone. Both have ups and downs about them. Just watch the phonedog videos of them, Noah really does a good job on them, and try and figure out what is better for you... But they're both amazing smartphones, it's not like you'll buy one and be like "oh crap i hate this thing so much".
