Wow they really shortened that song lol. Give them props for that. Seriously though, these guys are amazing, so much passion and emotion in the way they play. I could listen to them all day. Also give them props for being on Letterman. That's kind of a big deal.
wow what are you two talking about, "EITS somehow violate it by following one style"??? No shit, every band has their own style. And being predictable??? Just because it isn't all over the place with huge solos doesnt make it predictable. Post-rock is about the music not the talent. The melodies may be simple but they are also incredibly epic.
@sludgeyfudge after i saw them live at Capitol Hill Block Party in Seattle I went to a downtown bar. As I was sitting there enjoying a nice microbrew I look to my left and there sits the entire band. We talked for almost 2 hours. One of the best nights of my life.
I listen to shoegaze/post rock/experimental/instrumental - i just find these guys a little predictable and safe, but i did enjoy their first ep when it came out!
@sofe55 well, being predictable is probably their selling point. If you wanna look like 'unorthodox' post-rock, you'll find many of such band making such gimmicky PR track that they are laughable to some extend. I kinda understand where you are coming from since the whole idea of 'shoegaze/post rock/experimental/instrumental' is to be different from the norm...but EITS somehow violate it by following one 'style'
@infernoboi92 Yeah I would agree that even though it isn't the most diverse thing, they seem to have been doing it forever and they are good at it! It's great live too...
@sofe55 Well, you're wrong. EITS may not be the kind of band you'll listen to, but they're just outstanding. Seen them live once, never experienced something like that. The whol crowd didn't say a thing during those 90 minutes, absolute silence. Just as is should be. Wonderful music.
wait a second... This song isn't normally 4 minutes

This album is awesome. I wouldn't go as far as saying that it is the most texturally diverse and emotionally dynamic though.
