I think it's cool that Moon is mentoring Newton. When he drops back to throw, this is who he reminds me of. I can see Moon in him, especially on his deep ball throws.
There is nobody better to mentor Cam Newton. One of the greatest Quarterbacks of all time. If I were Cam Newton I would be absolutely honoured that Warren Moon wants to help me and lend me his insight. If Newton heeds the advice and remains humble and focuses on playing the game the way Moon did when he played - he will be a great Quarterback.
@ironangel1982 Amen!!I...I...saw his autographed poster in San Antonio @ a steakhouse outing....snapped some pics..lol!! He's #1 in my top 5....for certain!!!Randal Cunningham's trail not too far...lol!!
As long as Cam newton can distance himself from people who want to pull the race card and sticks to the gridiron he will be a great NFL addition; Warren Moon still thinks we live in 1950.
@daddygreenjeens Agreed, Moon's reaction to the comments on Newton's behalf were taken far out of proportion. We're in 2011 and it's bright time he understands that the character assessment of any NFL player is not based on skin color.
@GDIN1993 dude racism still exist in america yeah times are better but there are still racist people out there i go on blogs and see people call cam the n-word it's the true especially here on youtube
@daddygreenjeens racism still exist in america that's reality but warren moon is paranoid because of the racism he went thru being a black quaterback during his time that is what cause him to say that, racism it's not like it was when he was playing but it's still out there and i've seen racist stuff on the internet about cam calling him the n-word so america is alot better, but racist people are still out there and you gotta respect warren for the racism he went thru and still able to succeed
