    'Sliabh na mBan'

Yes, the 'Mountain of the Women', situated in south County Tipperary. . . the original Irish words about the failure of the Rising at Carrigmocléar, near Grangemockler, during the 1798 Rebellion. The rebel dead are commemorated at the ancient cemetery beside the tiny village of Killamery nearby. For minor adjustments, search for the song itself sung by the late Nioclás Toibín, from An Rinn (aka Ring), County Waterford.

    Most enjoyable!

  • good.

  • Played elegantly and gracefully with natural talent. Celtic violin airs are my favorite music and I hope you keep on playing as you are inspiring to listen to.

  • An mhaith =)

  • More like "Shlief Na Maun." Open to dialectic correction.

  • Oy tink in anglish it's pronounced as:

    Sleeve na mawn, no?

  • what song is this??

    ERIN GO BRAGH!!

  • Third verse of this beautiful Irish air..

Ye who wreaked this slaughter, for the crimes you wrought there

We swear like water your blood shall run.

Yet cursed yeomen,of hell an omen,

We'll meet ye,foemen,on Sliamh na mBan!

    ERIN GO BRAGH..

  • Lovely playing and a nice performance. I will look out for you playing at the Festival next year
