well, I wouldn't say it is "harder" to be saved, because the Bible says God is the author of faith. Man left to himself, can not believe in God or the Bible. It is only when God directs us can we be saved, it is because of what He does in us, not by ourselves. We are all sinners, when we are born-again, we have freedom to do as we wish. But if you are truely saved, you will continue on the right path, following the HOly Spirit.

the initial post was about salvztion, which is a free gift. Grace is not a license for Christians to do whatever they want, because of the law of reciprocity. (we will reap what we sew). Salvation is a free gift of God, not earned by doing anything.

God pupposely wrote the Bible to foster unbelief in the hearts of those who do not want the salvation of the Bible. Jesus is the only way, John 14:6, he is the door. Basically, it is not about what you do, it is about what Jesus did. The Old Testament is the Law, which you will be held accountable for. Howerever, if you accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, you are no longer under the Law, but Under His Grace. Jesus died to take the pentalty for our Sin, if you believe he died and rose again from the dead, then you will be saved. Jesus is the door to heaven, no on goes into heaven except by Him.

"By his grace", yes I started out saying "it is not about what you do. This was a reference to Grace. The Bible says we are all sinners, none of us are good. Jesus is the reason we can once again have fellowship with God. I would be quoting the whole Bible, because God is the one in control, not us.

True Christians are called "The Elect" they are elected by God. Jesus paid for their sins, past, present and future. It is up to God who he elects, there are many who are just pretending to be like the true Christian. We are made rightous by our faith in Jesus.
