Waterboarding is torture and it is also an enhanced interigation technique. This is only one of many that are currently in use. Sometimes you must fight fire with fire. We enjoy living in a safe and free society and we must realize that their is a price to pay for maintaining that freedom. Others are empowered to do what is necessary to allow the liberal pukes to sleep soundly and safely at night.

I would really suggest that you stop making this a liberal vs. conservative issue. I'm a conservative who feels that water-boarding is way below the ideals that the U.S. represents. Ever since the country began our forefathers refrained from torture, even when our enemy's didn't. Think of the Hessians treatment of americans in the revolutionary war. They were basically our first terrorists.

It should also be pointed out that waterboarding was not used widely. Guys like khalid sheikh mohammed should be waterboarded as a means of compelling cooperation, torture or not.

If you look up torture, waterboarding fits into several of those definitions.. Also, how do you know that waterboarding is not widely used? Do you have proof? Finally, studies show that torture does not guarantee accurate information. People will say anything to get the torture to stop.
