I dont care what any of you say, the first thing I thought when the sounds started building in this tune is "wow sounds like pendulum".

That being said, i don't hate pendulum. some of their stuff is good. This muffler track sounds like a lot of pendulum's latest stuff.

its good that pendulum have made 'dnb' more accessible to the general public, but at the same time, the shit theyre making now is hardly what you would call 'quality' and tends to attract ignorant, uneducated individuals who are victims of mainstream commercialism and assume self-credibility when it comes to music.

They're actually moving in the direction of non-mainstream now, their newest album gets less radio play than the one before it and in order to understand their choice you must realise they actually make music that THEY want to, half the band was in metal bands before they started making drum and bass, you really thing they'd stick to one style?

Yeah sure theyre moving back in the direction of non-mainstream NOW, but thats NOW and not a year ago. I do not have enough characters in this comment to explain fully, but no ofc i didnt expect them to stay in one style, and yes ive been following pendulum since their genesis. But it is a fundamental observation that a lot of their music appeals to the mainstream, blah blah blah. etc.

I don't think today's pendulum is to compare with muffler. The use of synths here reminds me a bit of pendulum first tracks but Muffler is liquid d&b. Pendulum is turning into a kind of fidget in their last album. Their taking different ways, so try and learn about music before making such judgment :)
