I actually kind of want one of these now.....I normally don't trust american brands, particularly Ford because of their constant transmission issues. I gravitate toward asian brands like Honda, Toyota, Nissan but I've heard many many good reviews about the Escape in it's reliablility, style, comfort, affordability, and gas consumption...since it is an SUV and I am looking to have one in the near future...I am definitely considering the Ford Escape.

With a $2,600 average repair cost. I am now waiting for the PCM Ford has had on backorder for 6 years. Goes to show how big the problem is.

dodge seem to have more roomy interiors than ford. the grand caravan is a perfect example of this as the door panels by the window are super wide and allow you to comfrotably rest youre arm on and are almost 3 times the width of fords. overal dodge interiors are better

i have a 2010 ford escape xlt 2.5 4wd and after 1 year the little suv is great. in canada the gas prices are 1.45$/litre and let me tell you it's our primary family car and we use it everyday. so far reliability hasn't been a issue and we just love the fact it can tackle canadian winters. we're really happy with the choice we made, good job ford......

something you all need to know about these ford escapes. the rear windows can explode

for no reason and so can the sun roof glass, as this happened to me and to quite a few

other people. It all happens without warning

It's true. Mine exploded after I hit a tree head on at 40 mph. Even the beers exploded.

my 2007 escape hybrid is CRAP. We have to get rid of it because we had safety issues with it and had to put $2,000+ in it in a year.

@0ldsch00lgamer oh its great we had the limited 09 and loved it but some family issues caused us to sell it but otherwise it was amazing no problems whats so ever
