It's "fictionalized" because the names have been changed, and things have been embellished. The stories in Learn Me Good are based on true events, but woven into a continuous story line.
Why is this a "fictionalized" account? Is the epistolary content (the back and forth between "Bud" and "Cyclops") the fiction? A suggestion would be to make that clear, so as not to confuse potential book buyers.
Still and all, once again, this one had me in stitches. Who doesn't remember the first time one of their students put something in their eye (or up their nose, or up their friend's nose) that didn't belong there?
Oh, what, you never poked your tongue in the hole where the tooth used to be? ;) Funny stuff, Teach.

I am suddenly remembering the first time I had to write the word "booger" on an official detention document. I had to ask a kid how to spell it.

Hey Red,

Thanks for the comment!
