Ah you're from australia... So 800 dollars in australian currency sounds about right. It's an amazing camera, the same one they still use for the show it's always sunny in philadelphia and broadcast in HD in. Just make sure it's something you need, a lot of people get intimidated by all the manual controls on a prosumer cam and end up getting something like a Canon HV40
