  • "WHERE'S THAT DAMN TORPEDO?!"

  • MAN...i truly wished Jerry Goldsmith had score this film....PERFECT FOR JERRY..this is some dreary mess by Cliff edimelwnolwvf. what ever his name is...

  • @UFOSPACE1999 Jerry goldsmith would have written crap too, Star Trek FC, Insurrection, and Nemesis all sucked.

  • does someone know a video with christopher plummer (general chang) speaking klingon?

  • My second favourite of the 9 after Wrath of Khan. :)

  • This is the movie that got me into Star Trek. Awesome!

  • Awesome Star Trek music! Star Trek has always had some of the best music I've ever listened to.

  • sounds really good played at the same time as "Raga Maru Bihag" by Bhimsen Joshi, part of the "Yoga Flow" mix cd.

  • This is my favortie Star trek movie as much as everyone loves Kahn.

  • Original screenplay called for the Enterprise A to be completely destroyed but it was rejected due to public demand. A little trivia for you.

  • @TonyShow82 was that in walter koenig's script?

  • @TheDEATHSTARIII Yes. In Walter Koenig's script, the film was supposed to climax in a space battle, resulting in the deaths of everyone except for Spock and McCoy. However, WK's script was rejected and instead we have the film we know.

  • I bought this soundtrack as a kid, after seeing Star Trek VI as my first Star Trek movie. What is particularly sad to me is that Cliff never did another composition like this.

  • The DS9 writers could have taken a page from this movie. The Undiscovered Country was the darkest Star Trek ever should have been but it never abandoned what Star Trek truly was. Watch and learn, Sisko.

  • 1:38 are battlecruisers supposed to be that much bigger than fed ships or is that just a perspective?

  • @OsanBlackCat5RS It's mostly perspective, the Enterprise "trails" the Klingon cruiser.

  • @NielsC68 Thanks ;-) I will definitley have to watch this movie!

  • @OsanBlackCat5RS Klink Battle cruisers were actually pretty hefty vessels, slightly longer, better weapons fore and aft, weaker in the side arcs. Federation ships excelled at heavier shielding and better sensors.

  • Such a great final movie for the TOS crew! And what a soundtrack.

  • Of the six movies, I think this one is the best. The acting, the plot, the score, everything about this movie was simply amazing. It really did feel like a futuristic Shakespearian play, with the "whodunit" case and the political intrigue. My favorite scenes are the trial scene, where both Shatner and Kelley really show how great their acting can be, and the final battle with Christopher Plummer quoting Shakespeare all the way ("Cry HAVOC and let slip the dogs of war!!").

  • Because you cant spell warrior without one "eye"

  • I don;t think this movie is underrated! I mean it made up for the dissapointment with V right ? I think this was a great way to go out and the movie was a success when it came out. I think people just make so much insipid noise about Kahn they forgot that UDC is a fan fav too. Even part III is good which shoots down that odd number crap.

  • Totally my favourite movie in the trek series.

  • Plummer stole the Movie as the Klingon General. he could have had his own Spin off film in someway. Maybe even a Prequel. Not only was he a General/ he was a top General. he was almost a General Patton in Space. He wanted like George Patton to go start a War to finish the Russians while the chance still existed. or was it the Starfleet / Federation that he wanted to Fight ?

  • @Roadracer987654321

Do yourself a favour and find an old copy of "Klingon Academy" for PC. You'll need XP to run it, sadly. But it is more than worth the effort.

Plummer reprises his role as Chang and it explains everything leading up to this film - his betrayal of Gorkon, his desire for death, etc.

Doesn't hurt the game itself is incredible.

  • @Babuiski I have the Klingon Academy PC Game. i bought it on discount a few years ago. i am not much into PC games. i need my 23 year old son the computer wiz to show me how to work it. he is like a young Spock. he looks like the young dark haired Vampire that runs around with no shirt on in those new vampire movies .i downloaded the Klingon Game once on my old comp. I watched the Intro Video with Plummer. Was good ! They should have done a spin off movie with the Klingon General Chang. was fun

  • this is a great movie, my favourite out of the star trek collection, and this score i think is the best in the film.

Chang: I can see you Kirk, Can you see me, oh now be honest captain, warrior to warrior, you do prefer it this way, as it was meant to be, No Peace in Our Time,

    Great Lines

  • this is a great movie, my favourite out of the star trek collection, and this score i think is the best in the film

  • "I am constant as the Northern Star!"

"I'd pay real money if he'd shutup"

  • Thanks for uploading this, the quality is amazing!

  • "To be... or not... to be."

  • *boom*

    Target that explosion and fire"

    FIRE!

  • THE best Star Trek movie to date. Followed shortly by First Contact and Wrath of Khan.

Liked the feeling of the new one but the plot was an utter mess.

  • "taH plagh, taH 'beH!"

  • hahaha

  • Scotty: "Captain! She's packing quite a wallop! Shields weakening!

  • Chang: "I'm as constant as the Northern Star!" McCoy: "I'd give real money if he'd shut up."

  • One of the best quotes ever!

  • Didn't this movie predict the coup against Gorbachev?

  • @MrBennetzen Think Gorbachev was already a goner when this came out

  • She's Ready Jim. Lock and Load..... Fire!

  • "I can see you, Kirk. Can you see me? Oh, now be honest, Captain, warrior to warrior. You do prefer it this way, don't you, as it was meant to be? No peace in our time. 'Once more unto the breach, dear friends.'

  • Reverse engines! All astern! One-half impulse power! Back off! Back off!

  • @showerandbath

    Takh bakh takh bekh!

  • CRY HAVOC! AND LET SLIP THE DOGS OF WAR

  • When we studied Shakespear in High School - it was a year after this movie came out on tape. I did a report and compared Hamlet and this movie - said it was basically Shakespear in space. Teacher agreed and made the class watch it - best lesson in Shakespearish style we ever had - plus great excuse to watch star trek lol!

  • Tagh pah, Tagh Beh'

  • Nice work

  • @halifaxboyns I tried telling my girlfriend that but it hasnt worked. She's a shakespear nut so thought she might like. She just cant see past the whole sci-fi thing so doesnt get it. Her loss I suppose.

  • @halifaxboyns Now that's some Shakespear lessons I wouldn't mind.

  • @halifaxboyns Man, teach me!

  • @halifaxboyns lol nice

  • @halifaxboyns well played

  • Not my favourite, but possibly the best. I think that General Chang is just that much more evil than Khan.

  • Just skip to 6:12 in this and you will get to the part where the Enterprise and the Excelsior destroy the Klingon Bird-Of-Prey.

    Its goooooooood.

  • Cry Havock! and let slip the dogs of war!

  • This is the most underrated star trek film. So uniquely written. Lots of action even though most of the central characters are doing everything possible to achieve peace. Spock working methodically to solve the "who done it" mystery aboard the enterprise, a klingon with an eye patch nailed into his skull, and of course, Macoy banter.

    6:00 mark

"I'd give real money if he'd shut up"

  • Where can I get the DVD for this movie? place a comment on my channel If you know where to look. :D

  • Favorite Star Trek movie. Ever.

  • My fav too. Qapla'! :D

  • Underrated? I wasn't aware of that. I read comments of many people. They said that ST6 is the best film after ST2. (ok, even if people say this, that doesn't mean that sth isn't underrated)

  • It is an underrated Star Trek film, but I don't think it's the most underrated though, that might belong to the first film in my opinion. The first movie isn't very easy to sit through do due to it's slow pace, but it's a very good film, I'm referring to the Director's cut though.

  • I liked the first film but think they could have hammered out the ending a little more. You can't really judge 2 to 4 since they're meant to be one long plotarc so saying 3 was bad is implying the climax for the trilogy was bad while the other 2 parts were good.

  • @krazie835 Exactly.

Even in my main ST hey days in the 90's, I found it bit too overwhelming in one sitting. But just spacing it out over several sittings-days, at the end, when everything is finally resolved, there is relief, and you finally see and feel the Spock Kirk McCoy camaraderie, it was I would say the most satisfying ending.

A true fitting to what was in store ahead for the movie franchise.

  • I cried during the scene where the Daughter of Klingon Chancellor said, "Captain Kirk, you have restored my father's faith." Kirk: "And you've restored my son's."

and my tears are rare...very rare.

  • You were that moved?

  • Well it's more moving than anything in the new star trek movie.

  • I think you'd die of grief and joy if you watched the Abyss: special edition.

  • Loved Christopher Plummer's role as General Chang. Unlike other Klingon villians, he was the cunning behind the scenes mastermind sort.

  • Really enjoying this music, especially from 4.03 to 4.50 :) nice to put this up

  • Between 4:45 & 4:52 you can hear that wonderful six note motif...

  • where did u get the music?

  • You can purchase it from your local store or online. Or as most people do download it =)

  • And could you tell us where?

    Please.

  • Amazon

  • @krazie835 The question was where did you get it?

  • I love the part 1:20 - 1:50. Suspicion, I know you are there, but where?

  • My favorite part of it is around the 5:10 mark where it really starts to sound bleak and terrible - especially because these are the scenes where the Enterprise is shown simply getting pounded relentlessly and the music echoes that beautifully. Also there is about a 10 second stretch at around 5:45 during the amazing shot where the camera follows a single torpedo as it arcs towards the Enterprise and slams into her and the music is especially bombastic - I love that part.

  • Ah, that back view of chang at the end as his bridge is going up in flames, love it! nice work Krazie! great"

  • ST VI theme song is my alll time favorite, I love blasting it out of my surround sound much to my neighbours dislike! I love it, great video :)

  • "Cry havoc!! And let slip the dogs of war!"

  • 100 out of 10! Awesome!! :)

  • I can dream of 100 out of 10, can't I?! Well, STFU!

  • fuck you SpikeExtreme

  • Epic.

  • the music to ST VI is pure awesomeness!
