Great Video until this video I didnt know there was such a revolver. Plus I'm a huge 9mm fan looking to get a revolver and you just made up my mind for me! thanks for the Video.
@raimundough you can fire it without the moon clips, it just makes the casing harder to extract. Usually you have to use a pencil or punch to push out each individual case. I bought them from S&W a few time at $1.35 a piece. That is a bit much for a small piece of metal but think about how expensive magazines are!
I would recommend buying 50 of them, use a dozen or so for practice and keep the new ones for carry.
Stainless steel revolvers would be a good bet for long term durability. For a small pistol these J frames work VERY well and have a outstanding long term track record. The ultimate in durable revolvers may be the Ruger Sp101 and Gp100 models.
I'd love to see a video of you shooting this weapon, perhaps with a few tactical reloads from the moon clips. I too have been thinking how nice it would be to have a snubby that shares a cartridge with my G19.
@herrbrahms That is a good idea. my goal here was to just get a review of the 940 online. Sadly I sold it to buy that CZ 75 you see in the video! Be on the lookout for the Charter 40S&W and the 9mm and .45acp revolvers to come out this year. They've been talking about the release for 3 years but it might actually happen now. For a brand new 9mm revolver for $400.00...not a bad deal!
@herrbrahms Same here, I love my G19 but as with any semi the mags are a weak point. I wish S&W would reintroduce the pistol again...with the way things are however, they would still probably ask a premium...
@Headknocker940 will check out the S&W forum again to. I used to be on there more often, now I'm a regular on the CZ forum.
Also would anyone be interested in a review of the Sigma ve model? I've put 5000 flawless rounds through it. Maybe not as there are a TON on youtube, however many of them miss the mark at what this pistol is good for...
it is a very nice piece, good luck!

I think I want one now. Can you fire it without the moons? Are the clips easy to get?

@BlastingAway3 lets hope they dont follow in the foot steps of some other manufactures and take the hint that sloppy moon clips will not cut it.

Sweet revolver, I have one just like it, The 940 No Dash..
Mine wears Spegel Grips..
I'm sure I've seen you at the Smith & Wesson Forum, I'm Headknocker..
I've got a Glock 26 but the 940 is a better carry gun because of the shape & size.
Enjoy!!
