the bass lines stand up well but its really best thought of as a cover in tribute to KC. if u start comparing the drumming or the guitar playing its just wasted effort.
A nice try, but really no one should try to cover KC. All it can do is point out your shortcomings as a musician. KC is too far out there on the talent meter.
@Asymmatrix amen, brother. Some things are best left alone in their own glory. You cannot add or subtract from them by attempting to link yourself with them.
ah band crowd interaction is the best whenever your at a show or especially whenever your playing a show, the funnest thing ever and on both sides! so i think, its also what makes a show so much better as well, cant wait to play some more open mic nights, hopefully we can start playing some bigger shows like new years eve fest in fredericksburg virginia,(where we are right now) but i dont know where we're gonna find some more decent serious proficient members before then, but hopefully we will soon
there is another vid of les claypool playing an awesome solo and until now i found out what song it comes from..... thanks for the post.... i can sleep now...

did he cover any zappa stuff, he seems like the type. also he has a sax a xylophone which would really make it worth it.

I seem to recall them also doing Jethro Tull's "Locomotive Breath" at this concert as well. An amazing cover! I would LOVE to see that here as well!

weird, the bassline is different than in kc..
aakkoin 1 year ago
@aakkoin i've tried duplicating crimson and it just ends in sloppy sketches of what you know the painting should look like
accuracy's not the point. these are just personal, raw renditions of music he's obviously really passionate about
chinacatthrak 1 year ago
@chinacatthrak he could have played the bassline right if hed wanted...
