I remember seeing this years ago, and one scene made me cry. Too bad there isn't a full film of this and other stop-motion Curious George shorts. would've been nice to see.
I'm very much like Curious George. I'm sure there are other people who are like him, too. He just loves to get into everything. He always wanted to know how things work. But his curiosities often led him into trouble. In "Curious George Goes to the Hospital", he thought the jigsaw puzzle pieces were candy, and he swallowed one!
"Curious George Goes to the Hospital" was of my favorite books as a kid. I (or my mother) used to read it when I stayed in the hospital. This happened quite often, and the book always cheered me up whenever I was having a rough day there. I would laugh out loud whenever I read about George's hospital antics. I know some of it by heart. This brings back very pleasant memories.
@hell5309 Well, my health issues weren't the result of an accident, but yeah, you could say we have something in common, as far as how many hospitalizations and operations we had to go through.
@31operafan His childhood ones weren't either. He had a bunch of ear and throat infections (he actually had to have his eardrum lanced several times).
I'm glad to hear you're over your health problems and no longer find yourself singing "I Guess That's Why They Call it The Blues" from a hospital bed.
@hell5309 Ouch. I'm sure that was painful for him.
xD You're hilarious! Yeah, I'm so glad things have turned around and I may not need to be in the hospital for a long time. It's been nearly seven years since I last stayed, and nothing has happened since.
Curious George was so funny because he rides in the go-cart around the hospital. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. :D
Oh, I SO remember this one!! As a kid, I used to just laugh and laugh at the part where George flies off the record player. Especially @ the "bird-noise" when he landed on the cushion. LOL!! I loved this as a kid and I STILL love it, as an adult, years later. : )
I remember this! I love this animation of Curious George, not the new cartoon one. This ones more unique, and George is much cuter :)

If you had remembered reading the book, in this particular scene, Curious George is also on the television.

@31operafan Thank you. Every time I hear that song, I always imagine Elton John singing it from a hospital bed.
If you feel comfortable saying, what was it that hospitalized you so much?

I remember it being a part of a program on Disney or Nickelodeon called "Lunch Box" that also featured other cartoons, like Paddington Bear.
Thank you so much!
