Rounds 1 and 2 were close. You could make a case for either guy to have taken one...or neither guy taking either. The most significant round was the 3rd, which clearly went to Sonnen. I think people have to remember that only 11 days previous to the fight the opponents were changed...Bisping training for Maia then getting Sonnen and Sonnen training for Munoz and getting Bisping was probably hard. They're two totally different matches. Either way, I agree with the decision.
To everyone saying the UFC chose Sonnen to win when Bisping should have. It is illegal for the UFC to choose the judges. They come from an outside association. I'm sure if you flash enough money they could be paid off but really it was a close fight and Sonnen won round three.
Gotta come to terms with the winner rather than claiming UFC are riggers.
cut all this they let Sonnen win cuz the ufc would make more money off the rematch stuff out. Bisbing, after sponsorships and what not is the HIGHEST paid fighter in 2011. look it up. Regardless of what I believe happened, in the 3rd round, Rogan said that Sonnen would probably have to submit Bisping to win, meaning he saw Bisping winning the first 2 rounds. Whatever I get that the UFC would rather see a Silva Sonnen rematch because he's already proven a challenge for him. I still am long past annoyed at his refusal to answer simple questions and instead just spew out his rehearsed Ali lines. He's desperate for attention and it's pathetic. Bisping has class and won 29-28 IMO.

Chael Sonnen is the man!!! He reminds me of one of the top WW"F" heels from the eighties like Piper, Dibiasie, or even Ric Flair. Some of WW"E"s younger talent could take some lessons from this guy on how to cut a proper "heel" promo. With Chael's talent and heel persona, I'm sure he'll be a huge star in the UFC. Rounds 1 and 2 were close. You could make a case for either guy to have taken one...or neither guy taking either. The most significant round was the 3rd, which clearly went to Sonnen. I think people have to remember that only 11 days previous to the fight the opponents were changed...Bisping training for Maia then getting Sonnen and Sonnen training for Munoz and getting Bisping was probably hard. They're two totally different matches. Either way, I agree with the decision.

To everyone saying the UFC chose Sonnen to win when Bisping should have. It is illegal for the UFC to choose the judges. They come from an outside association. I'm sure if you flash enough money they could be paid off but really it was a close fight and Sonnen won round three.
Gotta come to terms with the winner rather than claiming UFC are riggers.

Sonnen was more agressive, and more active in the first round.
He scores 2 takedowns, and land a lot more than Bisping (fightmetrics)
He clearly won first and third round.
However, is not the greatest, but the funniest, the coolest, and he's in his way to an exciting rematch !

Regardless of what I believe happened, in the 3rd round, Rogan said that Sonnen would probably have to submit Bisping to win, meaning he saw Bisping winning the first 2 rounds. Whatever I get that the UFC would rather see a Silva Sonnen rematch because he's already proven a challenge for him. I still am long past annoyed at his refusal to answer simple questions and instead just spew out his rehearsed Ali lines. He's desperate for attention and it's pathetic. Bisping has class and won 29-28 IMO.
