APU stands for Auxiliary power unit, as the name says, it's only on specific flight procedures, such as starting up for example.

I got EECH too with allmods but with the latest version i can+t even start the APU in every helicopter but the MFD´s, HUD and so on works with the key commands...

I like this game really played it all night 1 or 2 years ago @ the moment i play DCS Black Shark that is an amazing game too.

Though the Mi-24 doesn't have a proper HUD, just a sight, which displays when you select a weapon.

I love that this has such an incredible level of detail, but is everything bound to keyboard shortcuts? What percentage of the controls, switches, knobs, etc. in the cockpit are properly modeled in the game? Can they be selected with the mouse, a la DCS: Black Shark? I can't imagine memorizing all of those keyboard shortcuts.

Nice. Looks like you missed the step to "Activate Elevator Music-speakers 1-5." somewhere between Open fuel shutoff valve for left engine, and repeat for right turbine engine. Kidding aside, that was pretty cool. Love to see the same for select Air Force fighters. F-111, perhaps? Is that possible?

The game looks interesting with all the complicated cockpit du-dah... The only game i played with a helicopter was Battlefield...

oh and by the way do you need a joystick 4 this game?? cuz my friends said i needed a joystick for all flight simulators

It is playable with a keyboard, but a joystick is highly recommended, at the helicopter is very hard to control accurately with just keyboard.

Hey, I have a question:

I somehow can't get the RPM from Idle to Fly,

it works with every other chopper but not with the Hind, so am I doing something wrong?

The Mi-24 works differently, do it as in the video.

To adjust the RPM you twist the throttle on the collective (keys alt , and .).

Is this a Mod???? I played EECH many times but there's no Hind in this Game and it's by far not that realistic like in this video. To me it looks more like a DCS Mod :-)

I've just downloaded the 1.11 patch, and the Hind is just awesome. I missed it since the DI's Hind. ^_^

I've seen there is one additional flight model available in the eech.ini file. Is this new flight model more realistic than the older one?

Apart from suspension it doesn't model any more. But it does feel heavier and more suiting to the Mi-24. And hopefully a bit more real too.

I have posted a start up sequence for the Mi-24 in FS2004 using Nemeth Design's amazing payware add-on.

The sound in the EECH model is superior though. I will have to pull them out of arneh's build when it is released and mod the one that I have in FS2004 :D
