  • Tina? But it's not Terra? That's the european version?

  • I vote for Tina

  • *right

  • what is she really called tina or terra but then it could be one is terra and the other is tina ggaaahhh!!! my head hurts

  • @Exia122 Her real name is Tina. For some weird reason when the FF6 was localised to the USA and Europe they changed it from FF6 to FF3 and changed her name to Terra.

  • Magic pwns

  • Tina/Terra <3

  • .....TIME PARADOX!

  • 0:09 lets be freinds!

0:12 no i am the real tina!

  • No offence, but it's Terra. xD

I don't care what japan says. Tina sucks as a name. :|

  • @TheIrezasRise Terra translates to "Earth" or "ground". You think "mud" is a better name than Tina?

  • @DGneoseeker1 You do realize that "Earth" and "mud" are two seperate things rght? Besides, they changed her name because Tina is kinda generic in the west. In Japan, Tina is considered exotic. I don't care either way, she's really cool.

  • i like the battle music it simple just epic take u back to the old time reliving with ff6

  • I bet my whole life that TINA WILL WIN.

  • ITS TERRA!!!!!!! NOT TINA!

  • @spongeandy in japan is tina in america and in europe is terra

  • i know one thing, Terra won't win

  • Tina is way to common name for such extravagant character, isn't it?

We shall deal with it she is either Tina and Terra.

  • play the ORIGINAL japanese version! Final fnatsy 6 or dissidia! HER NAME IS TINA! has been for years

  • Comment removed

  • lol @ everyone saying its terra not tina.

Her name was originally tina it just got changed in translation, much like many others (bartz is actually butz, etc).

  • @SPONGCHAO and Sabin is actually Mash.

  • Dude...... Its Terra, not tina......

  • .........

  • I knew Tina would win :O

  • EVERYBODY SHES CALLRD TERRA!

  • I dont have see the end but i think Tina win !

  • Pretty average fight imo.

  • She looks like Terra, mmm

  • @SymphoniaKnight she is terra

  • @SymphoniaKnight Jejej, I know I know XD...

  • I like using tina but tina just so weak you know..

  • its terra not tina u douche

  • can i make a riequest of shantotto fighting tina

  • its terra. duh

  • I always preferred Tina, myself - I also renamed Aeriss Aerith when I played VII

  • It's not Tina!!!! It's Terra!!!

  • @respect4pitbulls Japanese version came first, japanese name is Tina, officially it's Tina.

She was renamed cause "Tina" didn't sound exotic enough for a human-esper hybrid, d'uh.

    C-A

  • ahhh green haird terra has no pants on

  • Terra is a much prettier name, not to mention I've called her that for as long as I can remember. =P And whether her green haired was originally intended or not, I prefer it to the blond. It made her look different from Celes.

  • terra means earth not just in portuguese, but in all latin derived languages.

  • @MrRevenant1978 yuppers. which came in handy during the age of discovery, while undiscovered lands were aptly labeled "terra incognita".

  • @MrRevenant1978 ah? but in spanish is Tierra... not Terra...

  • @MYBROTHERISGAY spanish is a latin derived language.

  • @MrRevenant1978 oh, don't tell me, you just discovered america in a GLASS of water ¬¬ *insert more sarcasm* I said it because there IS a small diference, and yeah, it's small, but it's still different so it's not in all latin derived language, just in most, but not ALL

  • @MYBROTHERISGAY wow! bravo, you are quite the moron. or should i say "sos bien pendejo".

  • @MrRevenant1978 how comes?

  • woot!!Lv 1 vs Lv 1!!!EPIC!

  • I like Terra.

    In portuguese it means Earth..

  • @kinhotas That's because it means "Earth" in Latin and almost every language descended from it.

  • i knooow.

  • how you make the lp bars etc disappear ?

  • Im pretty sure when you finish a battle you save the replay and it gets rid of the hud

  • My first thought before this battle was...."I wonder who's going to win..." :D

  • @NFITC1 same here!!!!

  • bleh mog was the true mascot for ff3/ff6

  • Yeaaaaaaaahhhhh because the one and the true Terra or Tina have Green Hair!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tina is the Japanese and Italian name.

Terra is the name used in the American version. They changed a lot of name translating from Japanese to English.

I played the English version, so for me she will be Terra forever *_*, and i played the snes version where her hair was green, so I prefer this version *_*.

  • terra is a good player...

  • yay!I love tina!

  • Aww, but i wanted Tina to win...

  • yay tina won!

  • wow i practically forgot she had green hair, what happened to it XD

  • lol my mum's name is Tina. I think I'm gonna call her Terra from now on :D

  • I prefer to call her Terra, hehehhe

  • I bet Tina will win. Any takers?

  • @pianok12 I disagree, I think Tina will be the winner.

  • @pianok12 Of course not!! TINA WILL WIN!!

  • I knew Tina would win! Though then again, I DID like Tina...but in the end Tina won

    ....sorry -_- couldn't resist

  • lol

  • XDDD green hair'd tine wil ALWAYS PWN

  • XD lol

  • it wasnt even a minute...

  • I'm sure the green-haired version in this game is her alternate costume/another form that the player is playing as. It looks like her sprite from FFVI, although the original concept art by Yoshitaka Amano has her with more blonde-ish hair, or her regular skin. This should all be common knowledge, of course.

  • Tetsuya Nomura decided that the characters for this game should be based from Amano's old concepts rather than bring in something random

  • I'm glad he did. I'm a big fan of Amano's art. I have this 285-page book called "Think Like Amano" that showcases a lot of his artwork

  • I got that book too, shows like cloud using red as a horse kinda thing and has a bolted gunblade, weird stuff

  • You got this book, too?! Whoah, that's cool. I love it. It's actually 295 pages. No, Cloud's not actually riding Red as a horse in THIS book. Are you sure you're referencing the same book? It's thick, heavy, and black and red on the outside cover. Cloud's Buster Sword just looks more ornately-drawn. I'm an artist myself and can appreciated his creativity and style. I like how they comparatively gave so many pages for the art of FF and FFVII.

  • La ultima ves que jugue FF6 ella se llamaba Terra

  • hey, i do have to ask but i really dont understand how her name is Terra, but it says Tina, can someone please tell me why that is.

  • japanese version is tina...american version is terra

  • tina/terra's hair was green the american version of final fantasy VI aka final fantasy III. played the game so i know.

  • its green only to differentiate her from celes

her hair is blond in actuality

  • But it would make more sense for her to have green hair, being that she's half Esper.

  • how would that make more sense?

  • Because Espers are, not to sound cheesy, a "Magical" race, and unusual hair coloring is often associated with magic.

  • she could have pink violet or even blue hair for that matter.

also, blond hair is pretty unusual in japan.

  • Terra looks WAY better with green hair... I think it makes her seem less generic. I personally hate the art done by Amano (if you notice, all his females look the same). It's hard to tell the difference between all the females he draws (except for the clothes). Celes, Terra, Reina (or whatever from FFV), Garnet, they all look the same. Terra with green hair= unique.

  • I agree. Although his art is very pretty [for lack of a better adjective] I often find myself going "Who's that character?!"

  • ahm is there a english version of FF disidia???

  • yeah it comes out 8/25/09 same as the dissidia bundle which you can get only get at gamestop

  • she looks much cuter with her original costume

  • LOL

English (green haired) Terra vs Japanese (blond) Terra...

  • um...why do u have to seperate them by race? and wtf makes the green haired terra/tina english?

  • FF6 (FF3 outside Japan)... well....

In the japanese Terra was called Tina, becuse for japanese people its an exotic name, but for english its a simple name.

So at the english version, they changed it to Terra.

  • o lol i know that. sry but i thought u were making some kind of racist comment. =)

  • haha sry but U are wrong. Tina/terra's original hair color is blond. why do u think her starting costume in the game is the blond version of her? -.- the only dumbass here is u.

  • haha fucking dumbass. wikipedia isn't always reliable cuz anyone can just change the information there. the original artwork for terra/tina done by yoshitaka amano depicted her with BLOND hair. I'm not the dumbass, U are. get ur fucking facts straight before u even try to argue cuz u look like a fucking retard right now.

  • OMG STOP ACTING LIKE CHILDEN! srry but every video i check out there are atleast 2 people arguing and i find it stupid. theres no good reason to argue, just keep your comments to yourself if you have nothing nice type ok?

  • u're right. this argument IS stupid. =/ but i only continued it cuz genjutsugaara randomly butted into my comments with miraclekd18 and he suddenly just called me a dumbass. My comments with miraclkd18 had NOTHING to do with whether tina/terra's orginal hair color was green or blond.

  • which final fantasy game is terra from?

  • FF6

  • well actually is the FF3 see idk why in America is 6 But in reality is the 3 of the FF saga

  • FF1 was released in Japan and America

    FF2 was released in Japan.

    FF3 was released in Japan.

FF4 was released in Japan and America.

    FF5 was released in Japan.

FF6 was released in Japan and America.

FF3 to Americans is really FF6.

All the while, FF7-12 have been released in Japan and America.

  • dude i knew that what i mean is i wounder what was the reason to do that.

if you ask me i think they did it because some where not going to like to the U.S people(if you didnt realized yet im not american or japanese XD) but o well btw you are very informed ^^

  • can you buy this game in america, or only in japan?

  • it'll be available in America...I THINK this summer...but don't quote me on that

  • 8/27 or around that. I already have mine preordered =D

  • hahaah! clone wars!

  • Personally I think japanese voices just sound cooler in video games and anime.

Square's voice overs are always top of the line though and sound great as well.

  • >=[ her name isn't tina!!! it's terra!

(Japanese version of her name?) in english, it better be terra!. i hope she can turn into her esper form! tht would be awsome.

  • In Japan it's Tina, but they changed it, cuzza Tina=Exotic in Japan, but Terra's more exotic in English, en yes, she can go ESPER POWAH!

  • Gotta disagree, if you look back at the Final Fantasy series all the voice overs are superior compared to other games. Don't believe those mainstream bullshit saying "ohh all American game voice over sucks blah blah Japanese better" just makes you one of those gay weeboos. =]

  • When will be a USA version?!

  • I believe it's 8/26/09

  • thanks. But i think that it will 31.8 ;-)

  • I'm so happy that there is both hair colours for her! :) I've used to green, but I also love Yoshitaka Amano's drawings where she have blond hair.

  • Fukui Yukari as Tina/Terra was an excellent choice for her to voice cast as.

  • is this a final fantasy? if yes which one? and for what console?

  • its for the psp

  • Dissidia, release was 26 Dezember, 2008 in japan. EU and US release should be this summer.

  • the alt hair color makes he look kinda like Celes, kinda cool.

  • the green hair is the alt

  • Hey Wait Wait!!How did u changed her hair??!!!

  • Tina is an uncommon name in Japan and sounds cool.

when the game was translated Tina was changed to Terra so we could also get that same feeling of mystery she gives away with her name to fit her personality

  • CAT FIGHT!!!!!!!!!!

  • Yay! She's Back, as well as Kefka too in this game.

  • Tina is an ugly name... Terra sounds better...

  • lol

  • i cant believe her japanese name is tina... what a shock... really...

  • I like the name Terra better but i gues it doesnt matter that much. Poor girls been alterd too many times allredy. I mean they allready changed here hair to blond in the ps1 cenimatics for some random ass reason. I'm really glad dissidia included the origial hair color as an alt costume.

  • u do realize that the original terra model is blonde right?

  • lol, I dont really look that deep into things but the way i see it, regardless of the "original model". it was green in the game so thats what I care about.

  • cuando sale?

  • I never imagine Tina(Japanese Terra) would wear a cape.

  • I'm pretty sure her sprite from the video game has the cape as well, for your info

  • 0:34 = Jinx!! xD

  • damn she always looks so unsure lol

  • THAT's Terra how she really is.

  • Her name is Terra, it was never tina, and never will be.... She was from one of my fav FF games, and I still have it...... anyway, the japanese made her with the name Terra, I dont know why they gave her a name that translates to mean earth when her main element in the game was clearly fire, but oh well, trust me her name wont show as TIna in this game ever, and if it does someone has no idea wth they're doing....

  • "Terra's name in the Japanese version was Tina, an exotic name for the Japanese but not Western people; when completing the North American English localization, Ted Woolsey changed it to Terra to keep the exotic feeling." - Wikipedia

That might explain the Tina name from Final Fantasy 6.

I like Terra name better though.

  • 6?

Her name still said Terra in mine

  • is that the english version?

  • well yeah, why wouldnt it be?

  • Tina is Terra's name for the Japanese version of this game and the japanese Final Fantasy 6.

  • no its not

  • Don't tell me that, tell the Japanese version that. I didn't make the game.

  • you clearly asked if it was teh english version making it your own question.

  • no , it was a reply question to Cridokun if he had the english or japanese version of Final Fantasy 6, but youtube didn't put it underneath to his post for some reason

  • oh ok

  • its her japanese name

  • I wonder if they'll keep the name Tina for the English version?

  • Tellah Branfjord looks a bit like Rose Farrow here. Nice touch on the disputed hair color for palette swaps. I just don't recognize the battlefield. Could be the friggin' Sailor Moon moon kingdom or somethin' for all I know.

  • is this arena cosmo's throne

  • Dude some of you guys are really prevy, her name in english is Terra and I am sure that Cecil and Cloyud have better things to do than "getting it on" with Terra, not to mention the fact that both of these guys have a good 5-10 years on her and each have girfriends *technically* Masterfeja out.

  • If Cloud and Squall don't want to "get it on" with Terra, I will. xD

Anyway, I wonder which version of Terra is supposed to be the main one. O_o 'Cause I think she was originally meant to have blond hair. I like her better with her green hair though.

  • She was originially meant to have Blonde hair. Tina was her name in Japan because it was exotic, and so was blonde hair. However, in North America Blonde hair and the name Tina isn't exactly that exotic... so they changed things up and the end result is shown in the North American version of FF III (VI) on the SNES.

I'm used to her having Green hair, but I'm glad they got both.

  • What was up with FFX Bahamut?

  • There's summons (I think something like 50) that you can equip and order onto your character that come into play to change your stats or conditions on the battlefield at times... if what you meant was "why the Bahamut version from FF10 and not some other version" then, well, I am not quite sure since that version is the queerest-looking of the Bahamut versions.

  • ahhh!

i hope she isnt the only girl in here

  • oh wait, i forgot ultimecia too ! from ff8

  • id like to see cloud go at it on terra...ahhah

  • Someone obviously knows how to use Terra because that was NICE! I'd like to see her and Cecil go at it.

  • How did you make her look different?

  • buy an outfit for 300, go into customization menu and hit triangle

  • Oh thanks!

  • thats not tina..

  • Im ordering this forget waiting for it to come out here in the US

  • gud job
