To his credit, I think the Warrior used more wrestling moves in this match than he had in his whole career. And he deserves some kudos for executing a top rope superplex, something I don't think he's ever done before. If he was able to run at top speed, this could have been his best match ever.

I just saw the ultimate disappointment. That was a -4 star match. As matter of fact I am going to go watch Undertaker vs Giant Gonzolez it's far better then this!

No body cared how good worker you were on the mat during that era. It only boiled down to the mic skill, in ring persona and energy. Also once a fan favorite you could sell out for at least 4-5 years. Warrior looked great, but he had no cardio. He was blown up 1 minute into the match. And the crowd knew it too.
I love the warrior. I agree with him about his comments about Hogan. The power of the Warrior will live forever! But The Warrior in the person of Jim Hellwig is over. Looking at the match from this video shows that even the Warrior can't out run father time. Perhaps the Warrior can find a look-a-like to continue the ultimate quest in keeping the Warrior alive. Like a new Batman, Superman. Warrior would have to train and then pass on the torch.

I'm a huge fan of the Warrior, but he really shouldn't have came back for this match. As a kid seeing him is what got me into wrestling. He wasn't just another big man. He had speed & intensity unlike anyone else. By the time of this match though neither were there any more.

@kyle589 I don't blame Vince for trying to put the Warrior over. He was quite popular in 1990, but hell, the Warrior wasn't even in Hogan's league as a wrestler, and that's saying something. And when it came to charisma and mic skills, Hogan was light-years ahead of Warrior. You're right, other guys probably deserved the shot, but the Warrior was certainly over at that point. He had to get the belt.

Warrior looked great, but he had no cardio. He was blown up 1 minute into the match. And the crowd knew it too.

I love the warrior. I agree with him about his comments about Hogan. The power of the Warrior will live forever! But The Warrior in the person of Jim Hellwig is over. Looking at the match from this video shows that even the Warrior can't out run father time. Perhaps the Warrior can find a look-a-like to continue the ultimate quest in keeping the Warrior alive. Like a new Batman, Superman. Warrior would have to train and then pass on the torch.

I'm a huge fan of the Warrior, but he really shouldn't have came back for this match. As a kid seeing him is what got me into wrestling. He wasn't just another big man. He had speed & intensity unlike anyone else. By the time of this match though neither were there any more.

For the short time i watched Tna, Hogan hugged all the spotlight, and with Bischoff there its like Wcw again.
