Great great great!!!Those who write shit here should have a lesson from her from Helen keller!she was a genius and i doubt some people who leave stupid comments are genius.Their IQ is below 0.They have no intelligence,no respect sad!!!Just respect this lady Helen.You could have lived this way and be blind and deaf if you were born in the late 1800's;so stop making fun!it is ridiculous.

With Hellen Keller 's life it can be explained as a person's mind is trapped in a physical body. Their mind is there and they know what's going but their physical body prevents them from communicating their points to a certain degree. Even though she was obviously blind, deaf, and couldn't speak clearly, she was a very smart woman and overcame those obstacles even though it took years of practice, patience, and persistence.

Sort of, it takes as much intelligence as learning any language no doubt, one must keep in mind that other senses become more adept when you lose certain senses. So because her brain doesn't need to focus as much on visual and audio stimuli it can spend more time, and focus more energy in interpreting physical stimuli, and taste and scent.

The Lessac method is often used to teach deaf people to speak vocally....look it up, if anyone cares.
