  • I guess they wont be skipping school from now on

  • Annabelle456@ good for you!!

  • My brother was treated at this same hospital following his auto accident, only his out come was not as good, he ended up a paraplegic :(

  • @206airmail That's what a lot more of them are like than the ones they showed on 911. They showed deaths and grimmer outcomes on the show, but we SEE grimmer outcomes on a regular basis. I don't care what any layperson says to argue the point.

OTOH living is a better outcome than dying, but that doesn't mean the patient and his family don't have a different set of circumstances that they have to adjust to.

  • I am going to be an EMT or vet tech someday

  • Good surgeon !

  • MT. VIEW! I WAS NINE YRS OLD WHEN THIS CAME ON

  • that is my dads brother that fail and my dads mother and father. this happend in west virginia. thanks for posting.

  • lol i love the 80's or the 90's hair due...

  • So is that what they use duct tape for I'm going to start taking EMT classes on one of the supplies I need is duct tape. your uncle seems like a nice man.

  • Your uncle seems like a really nice surgeon.

I've worked in the operating room before, and it takes a bit of getting use to how some of them communicate with you.

I worked in OR when I was learning anesthetic procedures: intubation and needle cricothyrotomy.

  • Since I became a paramedic in the 2000's, IDK if they knew about cerebral perfusion pressure in the Prehospital setting (I'm sure doctors knew) back when this happened.

They didn't mention it in the reenactment, that's what made me wonder.

  • In this case, hearing the patient scream is actually better than if he became totally silent.

His condition is so critical that staying awake is one of the things that helped save his life.

If he fell unconscious, they would have lost control of his blood pressure and probably his life.

  • Young bodies are amazing. I had three neurosurgeries and relearned how to walk. Thanks to rehab and great Physio therapists.

  • My physical therapist was like an Army Sergeant. I asked her if she'd ever been in the Army, b/c of how good she was at giving orders, and she said "No, I've just got a lot of brothers."

    Her partner laughed.

  • hi kefidler it's cool you have an uncle featured on this Rescue 911 segment as a surgeon.

  • I want to say thanks for adding this segment

  • I always wonder if paramedics ever get lost. That would suck. Wouldn't it?

  • makes me not want to skip school

  • Thank you for uploading this segment. (I didn't think the web address watermark was that annoying. I just looked past it.) I'm glad he made it out with both of his feet. It could've been any one of his friends, so it's kinda like he took that fall for them.

  • great segment except for the web adress in the middle of the video!

  • Yeah, really man. Great segment despite the wed address on the middle of it. Horribly annoying.

  • thank u for adding this
