Growing up in the USA I never saw these parades. I used to get a copy of "Soviet Life" magazine at the annual fair's International Building from the workers at the Soviet Union booth. As a boy raised in the USA that was the first thing I ever read that DIDN'T tell me that life in the USSR was miserable and oppressive. I now consider the USSR fall to reaction as a blow against the Global Revolution.
