hmmmmm, ummm, take your time to learn it right adn dont incoporate your mistakes into your practicing....not that im sayin its bad...but just relax a bit....very good job
Erm, this version came from a Steve Howe tab book I bought a few years ago at MusicLive in Birmingham, England. I met Steve that day and he signed the book for me, quite an honour aged 14!
Erm, yes i was. My dad had introduced me to his acoustic solo album and i was just starting to get into the Yes stuff. I saw yes about two years later on their 35th anniversary tour. I will see what i can do about the tabs, im at uni so there must be a scanner somewhere right? I'll keep you posted.
Don't waste time with a pick. I spent 20 years with one but it went in the bin about a year ago. Wasted most of my playing years with the stupid thing. Love what you are doing, just slow down a touch - it's fast enough as it is.
In a word what you just did was amazing. Loved it.
rushing it , but he got it down pretty deceit, just needs to play it with a pick travis style like howes does. I too enjoy playing this without a pick but steve uses a pick.. a small pick like the very small thin I can't seem to find around anymore! lol good job!
Good show. Do you play with a pick too? I think the way Steve plays it is with a pick and his fingers, with the nails cut. It's easier with the nails, but nails are very hard to maintain. That is how I play it. I need to get a camcorder.
Thank you very much, it served as a good distraction from reading physics. I think i put three vids up that day! No i don't play it with a pick, it makes no sense to me as you effectively loose a finger, but I've seen Steve play with one and Tommy Emmanuel uses the same style so there must be a good reason. The only reason i can think of is for the alternate picking which Tommy uses in his fast passages?
lol i think there is a diferent tab for every person that plays this tune XD
great stuff, keep it up!
oh.. this was 3 yers ago lol

Yeah good work on that. Its one of those pieces you have to play regularly to maintain

pretty good. Tommy and Steve use the (flat) pick to get the sound with a pick. you can't get that sound with fingers.
