  • Great videos

  • make this guy an astronaut.

  • yo only live once thats the motto nigga wolo

  • Just the truck and horn I was lookin for.

  • I ditched the fuse and ran straight wires. made it way louder.

  • Curious if you have has any issues with your horn. I noticed you uploaded this a couple years ago. Reason I ask is because the compressor is mounted on its side. Any issues with it?

Trying to install this on a little Scion xB and I don't have much room under the hood.

  • @Tintamar5678 mine stopped working a while ago, why I'm not sure. Could be from trying to use it in cold weather with not enough power, I tried keeping it lubed but they're cheap. I have much more fun with my train horns :)

  • @Z71ricrkilr Hmm maybe because you mounted the compressor on its side? =)

I was checking out the train horns today at work. Some pretty big compressors on those things! =)

  • did this horn last a while, im reading where the fiamm horn is better , but i seen some clips of the fiamm and they sound like crap . your soulds pretty darn good man, are they pretty loud?

  • @bubbafromthawoods sorry i never replied, but yeah it usually wants the hoses cut as equal as possible

  • what did u use for a braket?

  • im thinkin bout installing 1 on my 97 chevy z71 (same truck as u pretty much) Just thinkin the dixie horn wont be loud enough 2 here... i got a loud truck an wanna make shore u can here the dixie horn over it, Do u know how much D.B ur dixie horn is?

  • @cowboy820 they werent the loudest, but i didnt use 12 gauge wire so the bigger wire could help, these are off now but im gettin new train horns soon

  • country boys are just nice in general.

  • haha totally gonna put it on a 98 ford tarus.

  • Great video man. I am actually going to attempt to install some dixie horns on my 88 monte carlo ss. I have all the parts (wires, horns, fuses, etc..) I just need to get some mounting brackets now. Anyhow nice job.

  • hey man try oiling the compresser with air tool oil, u get it at sears. Just a couple drops in each opening on the compresser and let me know if it quieter.im thinkin bout buying one for my truck

  • this guy talks like he is high as shit

  • @Redfoxc66 nah man, i dont do that crap. I had a long day when i had done that video

  • About how long did it take to install that?

  • @hellokityfartsniffer well takin my time and all, maybe two hours?

  • @Z71ricrkilr Just got my horns in the mail. I already mounted the horns. All I have to do now is put the compressor in and wire it up. Do you have any tips on wireing?

  • @hellokityfartsniffer just run a power wire with a fuse from the battery to a switch then from the switch to the horn compressor. Thats what i would do

  • that sounded so crap

  • so is that compressor a tank also?

  • That installation looks like dog shit

  • Nice horn and nice truck dude. Is it a 6.5l???

  • you put the oil in any ofvthe holes. 10 drops of wd-40. i got the same one my compressor is quiet now

  • Comment removed

  • ive heard you can oil the compressor, but exactly where do you put the oil? and does it matter if the horn does not have a relay?

  • i wacht all ur videos and love them all...dixie horn is sounding pretty good by the way

  • @15Bigcountryboy haha thanks bud, i hope ya subscribed

  • sound like someone having a heart attack

  • @council123456789 oh well, my new horns will give someone a heart attack ahaha

  • @Z71ricrkilr lol

  • by pass that relay run straight off the battery it will sound alot better mine did.

  • do the lines have to be a certain length for each horn? or does it not matter

  • @Hawkman440x im not completely sure, but its probably better to have them as close as possible to the same length so the horns arent out of order

  • @Hawkman440x keep all the air lines the same length. it can change the note of the trumpet if the lines are different lengths.

  • ive got the same indoor outdoor thermometer in my truck

  • all you have to do to quiet the compressor down is squirt in some oil into the compressor. Like, general purpose 3 in 1 oil works good. It will increase the volume too. Nice job man.

  • Thanks mate - gonna get one for my 3 series bmw in England :-)

  • What does the horns run off of? An air compressor? does that come with the seup back and it's unlimited and ran from ur cars battery? or do they run on gas and u need to refill them? thanks

  • @ddpro666 yeh its a little electric compressor, that red wire at 0:52 goin into the fuse box is where it gets its power from, but you can do it in your battery if you want

  • souds crap becuse of the buzzing it does

  • its the compressor

  • cant u have it so its quiet becuse av herd one and it was right quiet

  • hahaha...delaware tags!

  • yeah..so why does that matter

  • He's from delaware.

  • dont get the wolo brand its extremely weak. Get Fiat Dixie horn, Its way louder. BTW this is coming from someone who has had both in his Caddilac.

  • If I were you, I make them sound all at the same timewith a new setup.

  • Fiamm is way better!

  • @01DixieHorn it really doesnt matter, asshole.

  • nice dude i got the same horn...you really shoulda mounted the compressor straight up and down and hopefully you oilled the compressor is sure makes a difference

  • yeh, i keep it oiled. I only mounted it like that because of space issues, and it looks cleaner

  • Dude nice i am gonna get one and put it in my '78 Trans Am

  • I used to have a Dixie I installed an ougaaaaaaa horn on my old chevy today

    5*

  • Yeh, one of my buddies wants to put one of those on his mustang

  • Jus make shure for the best sound......install the ougaaaaa on the chassis of the car and angle down for the best sound man

  • Thanks, if my buddy does get one I'll remember to do that

  • my friend put one of those ougaaaaa horns on this ranger. im getting a dixie horn for my ranger

  • I got the dixie air horn on my toyota matrix. I have a metal bracket (similar to what was used in the video) on which the horns are mounted. It is set up between the radiator and the bumper/grille. I than run the air hoses from the trumpets to the air compressor which is set up in the engine bay near the brake cylinder.

  • my butthole sounds better

    p.s. rednecks 4life

  • I love it, one question. how long dose it take to deliver from Wolo Car horn's site after, the order is placed?

  • i'm not sure, i got mine from stylin trucks and it took less than 2 weeks

  • I gave you a 4star rating Z71, they sound pretty good if thats what your looking, then great job, how did you learn all about the wiring stuff, cause thats difficult for me to understand, I don't have alot a room under the hood of my focus, but I wanna install airhorns/PA com system, that would be kicka**

  • It really isn't all that hard to do, if you just read the instructions and take your time doing it, it's fun to me, I like messin around with wires and stuff like that. Kinda funny you have a focus, my dad was just tellin me one of his coworkers is puttin a diesel engine in a focus

  • i got dixies on my truck to

  • sweet truck. i just got dixie horns for my truck . my truck is a '97 silverado ext. cab with 2wd

  • cool, are you gonna lift your truck?

  • Also, I forgot to ask.. What site did you get it from, and which exact one is it? I am looking at one from an accessory site that is $69.99, how much was yours? I'm hoping yours is the same price, i like how yours sounds. Most of them are way to slow.

(Does the compressor come with it?)

  • Mine was on sale at Stylin' trucks for $50, I think 70 or 75 is the regular price and maybe 10 or 15 for S&H. It's called a WOLO Dixie air horn. You get the horns, compressor, a relay and some tubing. You will need a horn switch( tractor supply), and some wire; i used 18 gauge from ACE hardware about .12 a foot. You'll also need the various connectors for the wire and you might need extra tubing. I think that's it.

  • and you'll need a in-line glass type fuse between the compressor and the power source. you can get it from Tractor Supply

  • Sounds good. I'm gonna have to check into it soon.

  • i got mine from ebay i know u weren't talkin to me but i thought id tell u that they are great

  • How do yours sound? Slow, fast, or perfect?

I'm getting mine on Feb, 22.

  • mine sound great if u take and blow them out with the air hose it will make them alot louder only time i have trouble with them is in the cold it takes a sec like u gota warm em up becasue the compressor don't go fast enough to blow them at first but in summer or hot weather they work great

  • I got Mine from Ebay also. Mine where $47.98 with FREE shipping and a FREE Horn Button.

  • yea i got the button to thats bout the same i paid i can't really remember though

  • yeh, i think Dixie horns are gettin cheaper

  • Thanks!! Gave me some ideas

  • Cool, glad I could help

  • Sounds awesome. We're thinking about getting one on our `05 Silverado.

  • Yeh it's nice except it doesn't work all that good in cold weather

  • Really? What does it do, sound "sick"?

What about when the weather warms up, does it sound better?

  • Yeah it does, how it sounds in the video is in warm weather, if the compressor is really cold you don't hear the horns that well, at least in my case( 25-35') but I still like them, if you have the money though you could get a trainblasters train horn (150db. but cost over $500)

  • I don't really care for the train horns. I think the Dixie horn would be funny and cool to have.

  • Yeh I like mine, it gets some laughs once in a while

  • That's what I would be looking forward too. Drawing some attention in town, ha ha. Do you ever just go to town and mess around?

  • Not a whole lot, if i am with someone i might. It will probably be fun to use in college

  • Yeah it would.
