  • Question... if you don't trim them, do the transplanted eyebrow hairs grow to the length of the hair on the head? Or does the length stop growing eventually like eyebrow hairs? Do you have to trim them for the rest of your life?

  • @SSTrueLoveMarinus yes, hair will grow as fast as on the scalp and require frequent trimming. oftentimes after 1 to 2 years, there is a phenomenon known as "recipient dominance" in which the skin of the local eyebrow region slows down the growth of the eyebrows to reflect normal eyebrow hair growth rates.

  • .is there a way that I could qet this done, ONLY on the ends of my eyebrows, & with sum1 elses scalp & not mine? lol iHave thin hair & im not tryinq 2 make it any thiner

  • @303MiMi303 you can have it at the ends of your brow but you cannot use someone else's eyebrow hair. they will be rejected. also, you might try Latisse first. i am using it myself for my outer brows and so far it is starting to work.

  • @samlammd, Im a dude and i dont have eyebrows at all it would be a self esteem boost to have some, here is my question is there one procedure or do you go back for another procedure, another question the color of your brows seemed to change over time why is that, i like that it does that it looks more natrual, looks great, heck i would love to have eyebrows even if they were light.

  • @garynewman112 1. sometimes you may need a second session. that is not a guarantee. 2. i don't know about the color change. i have not noticed that.

  • does it hurt at all?

  • @iamsarahreid barely at all. this is not painful.

  • Hi, thanks for sharing this video with us. I really want to know how your eyebrows grow when you dont trim them? Do they grow exactly like hair or normal eye brows which is abit more longer? Im asking because everyone has some lazy times and would want to know how it would look if you didnt touch it at all. Would you share your pictures or videos of completely grown eyebrows please? Im also thinking to have it done but need to clear questions marks in my head. Thanks again.

  • @ferda18 hi, the eyebrows grow like hair on the top of the head, i.e., faster than eyebrow hairs, for the first couple of years, and therefore require frequent trimming. over time, in many cases the eyebrow hairs start to slow down and become like natural eyebrow hairs. hopefully will have photos next time my patient comes in.

  • @samlammd how much would it cost?

  • @lopepenny i cannot provide quotes on here. about 6 to 7k. for exact pricing call 972-312-8188l :)

  • erm... is this a joke ? i really couldn't figure it out ...

  • @Gruesche not at all. it is just to track the recovery process following an eyebrow transplant.

  • hi doc, nice video here. Ive been saving to do this traetment. my eyebrows are very sparse due to past surgery, medications, and anemia, so i did a consultation with a local plastic suregon.

i would like to ask, after you do this precedure, how often will you need to trim them? also is it true after2 years the eybrows stop growing fast and start growing regular like the rest of your eyebrows?

    Thanks.

  • you will most likely need to trim them every week to a week and a half. although what you are referring to as "recipient dominance" may occur when the hair growth slows down there is not guarantee of that.

  • can you blow dry the hairs? after

  • yes.

  • why didnt she have eyebrows?

  • she was overplucked and they did not grow back.

  • How will the eyebrow hair grow, if it's taken from the scalp. Would she have to regularly trim the hair?

  • it grows the same as the back of the scalp but generally slows its growth down over 1 to 2 years and can oftentimes become even finer as what is known as "recipient site dominance" starts to take over (which is not a guarantee), i.e., the influence of the skin in the eyebrow area causes the scalp hairs to start behaving like eyebrow hair over time.

  • looks great

  • thank you!

  • LOOKS GOOD!!! Must be nice for her to have eyebrows again.

  • thanks!
