  • does anyone know if #107 has a closing with william shatner since that episode was experimental?

  • wish that it still aired

  • @chatlos

Trust me, you definetly aren't the only one! The sad thing is, people would much rather see whatever garbage is classified as "Reality TV" these days rather than a show that has been proven to be instramental in saving lives, well over 300 times I might ad!

  • lol. @ serious shatner.. 0:52 - 0:53 .. and omg. this has brought back soooo many memories. my bff used to watch this alll the time when we were like 8yrs old.

  • 0:50-0:51 is that from a segment, a rescuer sliding down a pole?

  • @gregorkrause yes it's the Cbs version of "baby fire rescue".

  • We used to have a commercial on a tape that showed part of a Rescue 911 episode it was that one where the man gets stuck in a pool I think he got his hand caught in a filter or something.

  • thanks for postin, forgot how old the show was

  • If I remember correctly MTM (Mary Tyler Moore) Enterprises and 20th Century Fox Television now have the copyrights to Rescue 911. Something I read on wikipedia. If that is the case, maybe we should be asking both MTM and Fox to release this show onto DVD.

  • They'd still have to ask Arnold Shapiro Productions, though. But it's worth a shot! Maybe they'll be a little more willing to release it than Arnold Shapiro!

  • I looked on Wikipeia did never see that MTM and 20th Century Fox TV and I did not see that owned the rights

  • yeah ask MTM and 20th Century Fox Television to put this show on dvd, it's like a treasure that can worth something lol.

  • hi what was the last Rescue 9-1-1- preview that used this original score, before the newer music for the 5,6,7 season promos?

  • I wish Arnold Shapiro and his company would quit bitching about how much money they'll make and release the damn show on Dvd!

  • 0:16 is shown in "Ben taub trauma docu" #211 if you look at the building and ambulance carefully they're the same as this preview.

  • 0:37 shatner is seen also in that same place in episode #107.

  • 0:37 when shatner turns his head, he is in the same dispatch center as #107.

  • @ 0:37 when shatner turns his head he looks like he's in the same dispatch center as episode #107.

  • Does anyone know who the guy is that does the Voice Overs during these promos?

  • I Believe is is George Sharpio the Producer of Rescue 911

  • Arnold Shapiro.

  • Couldn't've been him, because I've heard that same voice on tons of Cbs Primetime promos during this time.

  • the vid response to this segment should be Episode #101.

  • is this the actual promo for #101 that premiered on september 5 or is this different?

  • Real Reality TV

  • Who are the people saying things like, "This is reality and this happens to people," "I think everybody should watch this program," and "911 did save my life." I'm guessing they're not selebrities, LOL!

  • Episode #107, shatner has the same clothes as in this preview.

  • fyi you can see shatner in the same clothes as in this preview in Ep:107 segments, 1-5.

  • this preview is primitive lol.

  • everyone should vote to get this back on it rocks

  • If you haven't alredy, go to tvshowsondvd an vote for rescue 911's dvd release. Last I heard from Allgood 2000, it has 551 votes. Remember, don't vote more than once or create multiple acounts with te site; We don't want our vtes deleted. If rescu 911 does come todvd, will it be reeased season by season?

  • It went to 951

  • Ok I think i got it.

Rescue 911 on Tuesday September 5.

    Right?

  • :37 HA HA!

  • if it came out the dvd promo should have this same music as for the promos.

  • fyi the lights flashing on top of the Rescue vehicle with a ladder it looks like is from "Arroyo Boy" #101 which is also up on youtube.

  • This show is tide up in some kind of lawsuit for rebroadcast I believe.

  • what kind of lawsuit if there's one?

  • Why would there be a lawsute to rebroadcast the show anyway?

  • we are up to 430 votes for rescue 911 please lets all of us vote ,tvshowsondvd com

  • The logo used in these promos certainly looks different than the one we're used to. Doesn't anyone notice that?

  • CBS used a variety different title displays for 911 in the network promos.

  • go to tvshowsondvd >com and register to vote on rescue 911 ,it takes 3000 votes for the show to come out on dvd,you are voting on the real deal here>>>> lets get it out on dvd.

  • aha this is sooo random but the part where you see that hand dial 911...its from the Arsonist Eppy lol so random but hey

  • MissPMS,

Does Shatner make you laugh because he quickly turns his head to the camera after staring at who knows what?

  • lol Shatner makes me laugh in this commercial

  • Anyone else notice that the hand dialing the pay phone is from the arsonist segment??

  • Yes, and the clip of the firemen sliding down the poles is also from the arsonist segment. I know where pretty much all those clips come from except the one with the ambulances in the garage.

  • also you forget the girl delivering the baby segment where it shows the medics carrying the stretcher it's from episode # 101

  • season 1 segments has all the beef for it's viewers because of its exciting stories and lives being saved.

  • Rescue 911 was shown during the summer of 1989 and and was picked up for the Fall 1989 season by CBS. These promos were from CBS and aired many times prior to the premier. I don't remember how many times each one aired, but they also advertised the series the premier in TV Guide. This was given to me by one of the producers. I don't have any more promos, unfortunately.

  • Correction: the specials aired in April and May 1989..they were such a success that CBS picked it up as a regular series for the fall schedule.

  • how were they a success?

  • They got good ratings.

  • how does a show like this get great ratings does a ratings paper come in the mail for every viewer?

  • when was this preview made exactly, I mean was this preview made after the 2 specials or the pilot episode?

  • do you have the promo for my favorite episode, Episode # 107 because this episode experimented wih

    1. Different dispatch center area, shatner stands in a different area of the dispatch center.

    2. Rescue vehicle garages, shatner stands behind a bunch of ambulances with trees covering bldg

    3. Music error: the Music plays longer than usual for "House Robbery", after this segment there is no next or preview for fourth segment.

    5. slo-mo is used to show the girl being accosted at bowling alley.

  • also I wish that rescue 9-1-1- would return because some sequences on quite a few segments are deleted

also some rescues used in the intro not used in actual show for example

    1. BLUE JEANS,ROOM ON FIRE computer screen Sequence.

    2. 2 police officers out at night might be a deleted sequence used in "Baltimore cops docu" # 106

    3. Driver or passenger with a c.b. radio mic near his mouth.

  • hey I think i've heard this music being used on a mission impossible movie I mean the music for this preview.

  • Where did you get this? Rescue 911 is my favorite show, but I never got to see the promos for it.

  • Bad news, 1985Nebraska: According to allgood2000, who's posted all these segments for us to enjoy, Arnold Shapiro, the executive producer, told him that it likely will never happen. It would be cool, but probably no hope.

  • I hope that each and every episode of Rescue 911 are released onto DVD. I also hope that CBS will do more newer episodes of Rescue 911, with more recent stories that have happened in the last five years or so.

  • Totally Agree!!!!!

  • I'm glad you agree, eabdeb8176. Anyone else agree with me?

  • Agree On What

  • Actually, this is circa 1989. September 5 was Labor Day in 1988, and therefore, a Monday.

  • Edited title for the correct year! Thanks!

  • Rescue 911 didn't even air its first special until April 1989, with the regular series run beginning in September '89.

  • I don't think it was even intended to be a regular series. From news articles I found prior to the pilot airing, it was originally only intended to be a three episode mini-series. Apparently they decided to pick it up as a full time series after the second special, and I guess they held the third special until the regular season began and aired it as a regular episode.

  • if you're not busy can you download the articles for RESCUE 911 in the rescue 911 fanclub?

  • theres a fan club and where can i find it
