Trust me, you definetly aren't the only one! The sad thing is, people would much rather see whatever garbage is classified as "Reality TV" these days rather than a show that has been proven to be instramental in saving lives, well over 300 times I might ad!
lol. @ serious shatner.. 0:52 - 0:53 .. and omg. this has brought back soooo many memories. my bff used to watch this alll the time when we were like 8yrs old.
We used to have a commercial on a tape that showed part of a Rescue 911 episode it was that one where the man gets stuck in a pool I think he got his hand caught in a filter or something.
If I remember correctly MTM (Mary Tyler Moore) Enterprises and 20th Century Fox Television now have the copyrights to Rescue 911. Something I read on wikipedia. If that is the case, maybe we should be asking both MTM and Fox to release this show onto DVD.
They'd still have to ask Arnold Shapiro Productions, though. But it's worth a shot! Maybe they'll be a little more willing to release it than Arnold Shapiro!
Who are the people saying things like, "This is reality and this happens to people," "I think everybody should watch this program," and "911 did save my life." I'm guessing they're not selebrities, LOL!
If you haven't alredy, go to tvshowsondvd an vote for rescue 911's dvd release. Last I heard from Allgood 2000, it has 551 votes. Remember, don't vote more than once or create multiple acounts with te site; We don't want our vtes deleted. If rescu 911 does come todvd, will it be reeased season by season?
go to tvshowsondvd >com and register to vote on rescue 911 ,it takes 3000 votes for the show to come out on dvd,you are voting on the real deal here>>>> lets get it out on dvd.
Yes, and the clip of the firemen sliding down the poles is also from the arsonist segment. I know where pretty much all those clips come from except the one with the ambulances in the garage.
Rescue 911 was shown during the summer of 1989 and and was picked up for the Fall 1989 season by CBS. These promos were from CBS and aired many times prior to the premier. I don't remember how many times each one aired, but they also advertised the series the premier in TV Guide. This was given to me by one of the producers. I don't have any more promos, unfortunately.
Bad news, 1985Nebraska: According to allgood2000, who's posted all these segments for us to enjoy, Arnold Shapiro, the executive producer, told him that it likely will never happen. It would be cool, but probably no hope.
I hope that each and every episode of Rescue 911 are released onto DVD. I also hope that CBS will do more newer episodes of Rescue 911, with more recent stories that have happened in the last five years or so.
I don't think it was even intended to be a regular series. From news articles I found prior to the pilot airing, it was originally only intended to be a three episode mini-series. Apparently they decided to pick it up as a full time series after the second special, and I guess they held the third special until the regular season began and aired it as a regular episode.
does anyone know if #107 has a closing with william shatner since that episode was experimental?

Correction: the specials aired in April and May 1989..they were such a success that CBS picked it up as a regular series for the fall schedule.

how were they a success?

They got good ratings.
allgood2000 3 years ago 2
how does a show like this get great ratings does a ratings paper come in the mail for every viewer?
gregorkrause 3 years ago
when was this preview made exactly, I mean was this preview made after the 2 specials or the pilot episode?
gregorkrause 4 years ago
do you have the promo for my favorite episode, Episode # 107 because this episode experimented wih
1. Different dispatch center area, shatner stands in a different area of the dispatch center.
2. Rescue vehicle garages, shatner stands behind a bunch of ambulances with trees covering bldg
3. Music error: the Music plays longer than usual for "House Robbery", after this segment there is no next or preview for fourth segment.
5. slo-mo is used to show the girl being accosted at bowling alley.
gregorkrause 4 years ago
also I wish that rescue 9-1-1- would return because some sequences on quite a few segments are deleted
also some rescues used in the intro not used in actual show for example
1. BLUE JEANS,ROOM ON FIRE computer screen Sequence.
2. 2 police officers out at night might be a deleted sequence used in "Baltimore cops docu" # 106
3. Driver or passenger with a c.b. radio mic near his mouth.
gregorkrause 4 years ago
hey I think i've heard this music being used on a mission impossible movie I mean the music for this preview.
gregorkrause 4 years ago
