  • Very cheerful Armenian traditional song , I feel joy when I listen it.

    Thank you for sharing it.

    Great band members !

I hope you will be able to upload more works from them. Thanks Again.

  • at the end some one said ;

Good boy Jack ..Good boy :)

  • @WorldPeaceUnion That is the voice of the late Russell Gasparian. He was the MC at the picnic. "Good boy Jack", Russell is referring to Jack Cholakian the singer.

  • @Tomzara

I realized that.. I just liked the way. he was referring to him.:)

    Thanks for the explanation.

  • That's Kebabulous...!

  • OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

  • Oh how I miss my Armenian grandparents! Your music brings back precious memories of the great Armenian picnics with the line dancing, shish-kebob on

the grill and lots of love for one another! All I can say is WOW!

I loved watching my grandfather dance to Tomzara. This was their heart and soul!

    Thank you!

  • the singer is singing verry well

  • this is a maltyazee song....!!!! we say, asa yergoo dolma, veri doonu da...

  • An English translation of the lyrics: (free-form)

The Kebab has arrived! Take it to the upper house (or, take it upstairs).

If they do not want [the kebab], take it to the lower house (or, downstairs).

If they do not want [the kebab], take it to the house next door.

If they do not want [the kebab], then bring it to our house!

In each verse, they name another food.

By the way, "kheymah" is what Armenians call "steak tartare". The Turks call it "chi-keofte".

  • @uncaspond çiğköfte is different from kıyma

  • @uncaspond the last line in the kebab song is "TEMEE DOONA DAR"

it means the house across the way

    VEREE DOONA DAR (upstairs)

    VAREE DOONA DAR (downstairs)

    KOVEE DOONA DAR (next door)

TEMEE DOONA DAR (house across the way)

and by,the by, KHEYMA is chopped meat

  • haydeee yalla be lmaoo

  • chikofden oure?

  • I want this song :(

  • CLASSIC. Thanks you

  • hos yegha!

  • Another version of the lyrics:

Hasav egav kebab veri doonen var

veri doonen shalgeh, vari doonuh dar

vari doonen shalgeh, kovi doonuh dar

kovi doonen shalgeh, merin doonuh dar.

  • can anybody translate lyrics into english plz?

  • Hasav, yegav kebab, veri doonuh dar

veri doonuh chullar, vari doonuh dar

vari doonuh chullar, kovi doonuh dar

kovi doonuh chullar, tzeri doonuh dar.

    Hasav, yegav kheyma ...

    Hasav, yegav dolma ...

    Hasav, yegav sarma ...

  • haha..miyayn hartsoom oonim.. verchin doonin arachin paree inch eee?

    asa 2 ....?

    XD =D

  • verchin doonin arachin pare "khyma" e. Khyma (my spelling is probably wrong) is chopped meat that is not cooked. One of the favorite foods from the old country which is still served at some of the picnics in New England.

  • The singer is Jack Chakoian. He is one of the original members of the New England Ararat Orchestra formed in 1958. Jack plays the clarinet and saxophone. The Orchestra has performed at Armenian, Assyrian, Greek, and Middle Eastern events over the last 50 years.

  • haha i like that singer
