  • Can't believe Adam said that about Bob Marley. He doesn't suck.

  • Sampling is by far the most despicable, reprehensible, pathetic thing ever done by rappers.

  • Just because one hates rap doesn't mean it makes you racist. Adam is wrong there.

  • This is funny rap sucks so much balls

  • he should be introduced to underground rap.

  • @dicktatortot

    he doesn't give a shit

  • @dicktatortot you missed the whole point of his argument, it's the whole form, sampling is pathetic and it's at the core of rap

  • people have been taking songs for how long? van halen, Metallica are just to name a few. And there are rappers that can play instruments look up the roots. this is a terrible argument

  • Some rap is fucking amazing, 90% of it is shit.

  • @SgtPepperEverton he's talking about how pathetic sampling is, if it has sampling it's a rip off, period

  • Well, most of the lyrics in Rap are intrinsically dumb, a reflection of the artist. So it's no wonder some people actually judge it for what it is. People don't mind, they're tribal and will do what they have to do in order to fit in and feel good about themselves. No big mystery, it's happened for generations.

  • I like Carolla, but his argument regarding music is just terrible. What do you think is good music Adam? Music is art. There are just so many variables that go into what makes music good or bad to a person. It's not some mathmatical formula. Just because you have a certain level of complexity doesn't increase it's value. It's not a Car or a house you idiot.

  • a lot of 90s rap and jay-z stuff is really good, but lil wayne and stuff is shit. there are less quality rappers nowadays. noone can say rap music isnt good if they've actually listened to dr dre or jay-z or eminem or icecube

  • Agree with Adam. Too true... we live in times of diminished expectations.

  • if adam wants to hear GOOD rhymes he should google Percee P.

  • I hate rap too. its not good or creative. some have an ok beat but even that gets boring.

  • thanks for the bob marley rant... i can't stand going to someone's house and hear people talk about what music they want to listen to... one of them has to say reggae only to hear the same 5 fucking bob marley songs all the "let's chill to some reggae" reggae listeners put on. thanks adam. i'm ready for the pretentious thumbs down, and i really don't give a shit.

  • Dude i fuckin LOVE Adam Carolla,. BUT, The Anti-Bob Marley rant is the only time ive EVER dis-agreed with him... Thumbs Up??

  • @high4600 word, i think it's the first and only time i strongly disagreed with adam

  • I want to dream about having a beer with Adam Carolla

  • I totally agree, Bob Marley isn't nearly a's good a's people say he is. He's alright (I'd rather listen to him than rap or lady gaga) but I'm tired of everyone treating him like a fucking god.

  • Puff is an example of where it all went wrong no one liked his crap, he jumped on a band wagon as did the corp machine . I will not bad mouth music as a whole, because I cannot imagine life without musical expression. I prefer hip hop not rap, we are only allowed to hear what the corporate machine allows us to hear, they are the true villains not the real artists. Bob Marley whether you like it or not sang about struggles of the times, and he was a voice for many people who had no hope.

  • Two words: Greydon Square. Take it or leave it.

  • I agree that sampling sucks and that most rap blows. Check out this great rapper from Oregon: Marv Ellis. Check out his song called "Broke People." I think he is unique and talented. I like hip hop where the production is unique, like Outkast was, and where the rapper puts alot of creativity and thought into his or her lyrics. There is good artistic rap out there you just have to find it. but most rap sucks ass cheek. Adam rocks!

  • Hahah So true! I kind of like Bob Marley when I'm chilling, but about half an hour into it, I'll be like can we change this shit please...

  • I like the Police and Sting, but they have a type of reggae funk sound so maybe that's why he doesn't like them. At least their earlier stuff does. They do have some better songs than 'Every Breath you Take' too

  • lol black people even steal music too. oh and he's right, the Police & Steve Miller sucks

  • I actually really like 80's pop hits. But I think one of the reasons behind this is the perpetual downfall of the music industry. Too me, music today is pretty shitty, and getting shittier. Thus, the oldies start to sound better. And in the future, we'll all think music sucks even more and all of a sudden the music from the 2000's will sound better. Usually the case fallows: the music of your youth is your favorite. Though, I didn't live through the 80's, but I still find it's music better.

  • So what music does he think is good? SImple isnt always bad, I like the police and bob marley, its simple music in some ways but it isnt without depth. Its like people who dis eric clapton for being to simple and repetitive. Adam doing simple reggae would be good for some laughs maybe, off key, no rythm, its harder to do it than it sounds. But yeah diddy is a hack.

  • I always considered rap going mainstream was just a way for some rich white guy in a suit to hear "nigga" thrown around enough that it makes the bigot in him happy while he uses some idiot to reaffirm his prejudice and make him money.

Plus, I know it gets a lot of hate, but I'm glad someone else hates on Biggie.

Even now that I've gotten into some hip hop (most of it still sucks) I still consider Biggie the biggest fucking tool ever.

  • I don't agree about Bob Marley, but I do agree about rap; of course, I also like The Police and Steve Miller.

  • I enjoy bob marley. but, adam gets a pass.

  • OMG hahahah, Adam Carolla is the man. He actually has the balls to say Bob Marley sucks.

  • This has nothing to do with music. It's BUSINESS. If there is a market, it will be filled with product. Need and want, supply and demand. This is what the music industry is truly about. .You want music, stick to the local scene. Alteast there you can see the artists before they get washed into some corporate garbage vision of market placement.

  • It's so stupid because the people they took from were first of all mostly black for damn sure, and second white rockers were by far the first to start that bullshit. They began theirs shit based on that shit. At least rap started off creative. lol Robert Plant in his interview almost any damn interview will tell anyone who specifically he wanted to sound like. Fail. And oh Adam is the racist he says he is as you can see. And one more thing. Reggae sucks.

  • between 3:14-3:40 exactly my thoughts ! right on !

  • Led Zeppelin ripped off an equal amount of material as Puff Daddy did.

  • @ConnDevi88 Being influenced by music, but actually PLAYING YOUR INSTRUMENT is way different from rapping some stupid shit over someone else's song.

  • @ConnDevi88 when and from who ? having influences in blues players and then playing the blues in your own way is very different !

  • @larryjohnny Sent you list. And This is not to say I don't think they are talented musicians, its just that it's kind of lame for them to do this to unknowns. At least most rappers pay for the royalties.

  • @ConnDevi88 Thanks man, that was cool list ! I can't believe these arrogant bastards didn't give credit to the writers of the songs they STOLE ! sure, they are a great band, but not all that original with their words, chords, lyrics, etc.. They should list the name and source of the original song and composer ! What a sham, I thought they were song writers, so sad !

  • I believe I can fly.

I believe I can touch the sky.

Think about it every single day. Spread my wings and I fly away.

WTF??? How does this shit get a zillion records sold? Garbage.

  • Puffy is a bazzilionaire. Fucking baleedat shit?

  • you can write a reggae song but you have no soul. sometimes so called smart people dont know when a subject doesnt require over thinking

this fool just said steve miller and Bob marley are trash, that immediatly cancels out his arguement.

  • Adam is right about all that black "music". How does being a song thief make you a musician? If I talk over a Bob Dylan song am I a great musician too?

  • new rap was jacked by white corporate fuckers, you want good shit listen to old school nas, rakim etc... stairway-of-fail rant for using puff daddy as the main example

  • lol Bob Marley ? he can't be serious, haha if he is a Beach Boys fan.

  • deaf frat guy talking about music.....lmfao.

  • I don't have a problem with rap but sampling is bullshit, make your own damn music you witless thieves. And knock it off with that stupid auto-tune, everyone just sounds like robots. if you can't cut it without a machine to hide your bad voice and stolen choruses to hide your bad writing, you shouldn't have a career.

  • @a1b2m13 Sampling music is so evil the United States of America does it for their own national anthem. John Coltrane and Charlie Parker both wrote entire songs based on other songs. Shostakovich quotes music all the time in his symphonies, to prove bullshit points or something, I dunno, Shostakovich kind of sucks. But it's not a new thing.

  • @manwalrus First, so? Just cause it's not new doesn't mean it's acceptable. Second, writing a song that's based on another song is a far cry from ripping the baseline or even whole chorus out of a recognizable song, having somebody sing or rap over it and releasing it as an entirely new product. One is derivation, the other is thievery.

  • @a1b2m13 Tell that to the mainstream rappers.

  • @a1b2m13 thank you... that robot voice is horrible... almost makes me roll my eyes knowing i grew up listening to actual rap in the 90's.

  • @a1b2m13 sampling actually takes more work than composing a song. i should know i'm a music producer

  • @Bluddyshadowhell

Yeah but you should at least write lyrics on a college level and change it around a little.

  • @Bluddyshadowhell Yea but when you sample something, you're already taking something that sounds good. You didn't create it. All the effort that you're putting into it after, well that's your fault really. If you could compose your own songs then you wouldn't have to do all that "hard work"?

Composing requires creativity, which is the biggest issue with sampling. You just hear something you like and you sample it. That's very artistic (sarcasm).

  • I like anything that makes white men this mad. So all this rant did was make me LOVE rap more. Thanks.

  • @whayes8084 rap is retarded especially mainstream music

its full of bullshit superficial shit

    listen to underground music

  • @whayes8084 lol

  • whats incredibly ironic about this rant is that early rock was just a complete rip-off of black music and all the guys like clapton, the rolling stones, etc. covered black musicians songs regularly. in fact, usually about half of their early albums were black blues covers.

  • rock is originally black

  • Dr. Spazz

  • True dude, I agree with him totally

  • bob marley does suck, lol.

  • Once the popularity of rap soared and the money became so abundant the art form was bound to suffer. Hip-hop was a counter culture movement of the inner-city youth. Once it became main-stream suits took it over and record sales not the quality of the music was most important. They pander to the lowest element. A catchy hook and a tight beat turned Mase and Puffy into superstars. The blueprint was set.

  • @nukeasfinest96792 exactly, rap you to express the feelings of the youth from the inner city, now its a bunch of kids talkin about clubs its sad

  • I fucking hate when people come across with bullshit like this. ''EVERY RAPPER SPEAKS OF DISRESPECTING WOMEN, THEY CARE ONLY ABOUT MONEY,SEX AND FAME!!! THEY ARE ALL JUST NIGGERS TALKING IN A BEAT'' When I last checked, the subjects of hip-hop was based on social struggles and political issues. It's only at this day and age this stupid as hip-hop has turned into commercial corporational bullshit that fits retarded suburbans.

  • @nonofyall ever listen to nwa's, "just dont bite it"?

  • @AgentCarter Very few songs during the 90s were about sex and party. When they made one, it was sort of cool cause the market wasn't overflowing with it. And the majority of NWAs songs had political messages.

  • @nonofyall not really. a lot of NWA songs had political messages (although they came in the form of talking about murdering), but a lot of dr dre and snoop dogg songs were about partying, drinking, smoking weed etc. same goes for cypress hill, just to name a couple.

  • @AgentCarter Most of snoop and dre's classics are about the streets and banging. And even when they made party songs they had fucking lyrics. And as I said, back then party songs wasn't the same thing in the hip-hop game, because the political raps were also played on the radio and the TV. Now all that is sent on TV is the ''club can't handle me'' ''I'm in love with a stripper'' ''Love the way you lie'' ''Whatever you like'' you name it.

  • @nonofyall how do you define "political", though? one could argue that fuck the police is a political statement, but not a very insightful one. and rapping about gangbanging isnt political. what point are you even trying to make here? the rap carolla is talking about in this clip isnt the partying kind. and who cares? i dont see how rapping about murdering people is better than rapping about smoking weed.

  • @AgentCarter I haven't mentioned gangbanging in the same sentence as political and I likely won't. Fuck tha police is a sort of shout out from the people in the bottom of society, by this time, the blacks in the inner city. On the other side, I don't understand what you're trying to prove.

  • @nonofyall im trying to prove to you that rap lyrics in the 90's, for the most part, were often just as despicable as todays rap lyrics, even though the subject matter was different.

  • @AgentCarter Back then it was at least songs with messages, ways to try to prove that living in the projects is not natural and other things. Today they get no recognition

  • @nonofyall not really, plenty of the music back then was about fucking, drinking, and smoking. and plenty of the music now is about how fucked up living in the ghetto is.

  • @nonofyall I agree 100 %, for example Public Enemy's album "It takes a nation of million to hold us back" was totally political and had some amazing tracks ! Stuff like mixing a split second yell from James Brown, and a bunch of other artists to create a new rhythm and track ! It took skills and knowledge to splice and make phrases and rhythmic variations that were unique ! Puff Daddy is lame ! I thought he was from the moment I saw and heard him ! It reminds me of remedial music, boring !

  • @larryjohnny who the fuck is puffy? Not even Lil Wayne fans think he's relevant.

  • @nonofyall Lil' Wayne is a piece of shit ! I can't believe he's so popular. For What ? Showing off his ass and not pulling up his pants, what happened to wearing a belt ?

Then, his music, or so called music, and dancing is horrible ! I can't understand a word he's saying and I'm not gonna go google his lyrics either, fuck that ! I feel sorry for that idiot swimmer with the 8 gold medals Phelps, who would listen to this Lil' Garbage before each race ? Maybe it would make him angry, mad !

  • Rappers suck. Singers suck. The only awesome people in music are professional instrumentalists. People who are able to play cutting edge shit like jazz, fusion, funk, gospel and old school rnb. These people have more musical vocabulary and ability than say.... tupac, the beatles, led zepplin, etc. Fuck lyrics, fuck singers, fuck rappers, fuck spoken word albums

  • @jeffc6676 gospel really ? why do you like that church music ? what's so great about gospel ? just reminds me of the pedophile priests and the whole scam which is religion and church ! They just want to take your money and work one day a week ! make you get up early on Sunday and miss out on a good surfing session ! I can't stand organized corporate run religion ! especially those filthy lying pastors like the ones who are republicans and preach giving but then live in mansions ! SCAM

  • @larryjohnny ya religion sucks. but gospel is good music. IT's just good music played by PROFESSIONAL grade musicians. I like rock, but every rock drummer, bass player, etc. SUCKS (very unlearned) compared to people who've mastered black music (old school r&b, gospel, jazz, fusion, funk) ie: real professionals. Every rock fan is like oh neil peart from rush is like top 5 drummers of all time. Fuck that shit he sucks compared to people who are really good. Music is music to me. Fuck lyrics

  • @larryjohnny So Gospel = good music + good chords + inventive + amazing world class musicians + great arrangements + retarded lyrics about that cunt jesus.

Christian Contempory rock = shitty garageband musicians + ripping off good secular rock artists +retarded lyrics about that cunt jesus.

Moral of the story... LYRICS DON'T MEAN SHIT IN MUSIC. FUCK LYRICS.... IT'S MUSIC... NOT POETRY

  • @jeffc6676 smart words man, I agree with your commentary ! I don't hate Jesus though, it's the annoying priests, pastors, and church officials who are the devils, lazy bastards, who work one day a week and keep begging for collection plate money ! Jesus was a great man ! He loved everyone, including the sick, mental, gays, women, animals, earth, etc. He wasn't about building some Crystal Cathedral and then not letting anybody use birth control and leading us to over population and poor kids

  • Best part about the Puff Daddy video for that song was when he fell off his bike.

  • i know sting wasn't complaining about his song when puff daddy's his checks came rollin in

  • @DERAJ13 You think Sting cares about the chump change puff daddy was bringing in ?

  • @DruidB19 you think he said nah you can go ahead and keep it

  • when im not stoned out my mind im not getting high or hanging out with that random ghetto bitches i love, where i have to think ...what the fuck is this, music is pretty dumb in fuckin general but its crazy how it makes you feel a certain way atleast con-funk-shun and other 70s soul/funk groups had the emphasis on loving your girl..and making love..and everything is gonna be alright..now music is more about just MAKE MONEY BE A WHORE MAKE ME RICHER AND FUCK BEING TALENTED

  • I'm sick of defending rap but if you only listen to 50 cent, lil wayne, jay-z and p diddy you're obviously hate rap.

  • @purplenurps i totally agree with you man, mainstream rap totally blows... and its given real metaphorical rappers a bad reputation. sad how lil wayne , and eminem even qualify as rappers or how T-pain counts as a singer.

  • Adam for the most part is wrong. Rap nowadays consists mostly of crappy artists repeating the same unoriginal thing over and over (look at my car, im so rich, look at my jewlery, i love to kill and do drugs and look at my hot bitch i got). Hip Hop when it first started had great lyrical talent with clever rhymes and originality. There are very few good rappers still actually out there currently.

  • (continued) The thing Adam is missing is rap nowadays is mostly crappy artists but there are talented artists out there that people just don't know about. The other thing is the vast majority of rap songs have actual original beats that aren't remixes of older songs. If Adam actually listened to even the untalented popular rap out there today he would know that the overwhelming majority of rap is original beats and not songs that are remixes containing old good songs with a little twist on them.

  • (continued 2) I would advise Adam to listen to Lupe Fiasco or even Nas instead of Lil Wayne. This notion of people who listen to rap, black or white, who tell people who don't that they are just racist is completely ridiculous. Yes there are a few idiots out there who do espouse this idiotic logic but most people who voted for Obama or listen to rap aren't stupid enough to say that you're racist or you don't like blacks if you don't like rap or didn't vote for Obama.

  • ( continued 3 ) The average person knows that whether or not someone likes a particular song or music genre or presidential candidate has nothing to do with skin color and race and that these variables are totally irrelevant and do not go into the equation when someone is trying to decipher whether or not they like a piece of music. People who actually have brains would use something relevant in their assessment such as the sound of the music or a presidential candidates position on issues.

  • only thing left that isnt copyrighted is taking small part n sample. enjoy the sound of music dying...

  • In the modern age, the Beatles and Stones did remakes of Chuck Berry songs and called them "cover tunes." Unfortunately, that opened the damn door. That's how 40 years later RAP-CRAP and SHIT-HOP were able to come along and take the laziness another step higher - by just re-recording parts of actual songs and calling it "sampling." So thanks a lot, Lennon and Jagger!

  • Rap music died with ODB.

  • @nongboof i agree...hip hop is GAY

  • Rap was good back in the day when groups like NWA where around. But rap today blows it is nothing but bragging.

  • @HarryPothead6009 no rap DOESNT suck

  • @Ravenous11yt no i think yu SUCK COCK

  • Carolla's taste in music is abysmal at best so take this rant along with all his other ones with a grain of salt. Carolla is the dumbest person on the planet and tries to present himself as intelligent. Who's that joke on?

  • what music does he like?

  • @poolboyinla rock. which would explain it. long live rap/hip hop and r&b in my opinion.

  • @thecool702 How do you know he likes rock?

  • @poolboyinla On an episode of Loveline, he was singing along to old R&B/Motown type stuff;he probably likes anything that's creative or original.

  • I try not to listen to any music that replaces the sound of a bass drum with a clap.

  • @SweetGuitarSolo211 They usually replace the "snare" with a clap, not the bass. The bass is usually jacked so you can't hear the rest of the song.

  • @wutangdoom Rap sucks = bottom line.

  • Today's music is absolute horse shirt. I listen to punk rock even though it's sorta dying out :/. To me rap and reggae seem to play the same beat over and over till the point where it becomes hypnotizing and sadly the media sells it basically saying this stuff is hip and cool. I dont see how one man can make a million dollars by selling songs about "gettin bitches bc my necklace is awesome..or look at me im the greatest ever and if you dont agree with me ill kill you"

  • @ukdawgs08 thats just how the world is, everyone's generic and does what everyone else does

  • @cheezkid its really sad what this world has come to

  • @ukdawgs08 Its because white boys think theyre hard when they hear a song like that bout bitches but thats the thing thats NOT real hip hop. Also when you say Reggae i thnk you mean Reggaeton which is a combo of merengue music (which is played by instruments) and hip hop beats. Take it from me (Im Puerto Rican) that music is suppsedto be loud with bass becaue its dance musc and back in Puerto Rico instead of Techno in the clubs we have reggaeton

  • @ukdawgs08 so it seems to sound the same because of the bass but its only MEANT for dancing NOT somethng you hear to get yu through life or about stories its like Techno its dancing music

  • Rap is fucking gay

  • DFG RULES! and also, 'get a casio keyboard, press the reggae button, and lets go'

  • Adams right, even though some rap is okay. Much of rap does just consist of taking a song that IS good and mean mugging over it.

  • Its funny how you can hear Sonny in the background singing something towards the end.

  • corolla talks 2 much im with him sometimes then he loses me n to attack marley is like attacking lennon and trivializing the jamaican struggle . corolla is smart but a fukin idiot!

  • I like how people who complain about the shitty pop music of today are usually the ones canonizing the shitty pop music of the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s, from which the modern shit is descended. Elvis, Queen, Michael Jackson, Led Zep, etc. are just as shit as Gaga and the rest. At least Carolla has the self-awareness to realize that "classic" artists like Bob Marley and The Police are also shit, I bet he still likes The Beatles though.

  • @TheRealLordRama

Elvis was old school rock n roll, queen is also a good band, and calling Led Zeppelin to be just like Gaga is such bullshit I can't fathom. Fucking Led Zeppelin, considered one of the greatest damn bands in history, with one of the greatest guitarists in history, is pop?? Then again you are a rare classical only guy. This isn't the 1800s. Yes that stuff is "brilliant" or what not, but for fuck's sake man.

  • fuck black and white, all music sucks nowadays. that is why everyone is recording there own shit in their closet.

most music uses the same pattern, when they repeat shit its called a chorus, this is seperated by a vocal and somtimes followed with a bridge

  • Led Zeppelin ripped off a bunch of people, at least a lot of rappers give credit to the original artists. Led Zeppelin is just robbed people.

  • it really just depends on which rappers you listen to

  • screw his ethnocentric bullshit attitude what a dick. what the fuck does he listen to thats so great? the whole point of music is to enjoy it if you dont move on

  • @quoe1 No, it's about artistry and originality. Something negroids gave up when sampling came about.

  • Ive always hated Marley and Ive always caught so much shit for it.

  • Okay I understand ripping on rap but reggae? seriously adam go suck some balls

  • @Iichyaa Who?

  • The hip hop boys are not very smart. Since their mamas never taught them how to use a belt, I bet their mamas still have to wipe their butts for them too. Just goes to show what a stupid country we have now that boys AND girls without a shred of talent are now millionaires. Of course after about a year, they are broke and in prison.

  • adam rules

  • first adam c. is a sick ass rap name. there should be some fat faggot who rants on black people. considering you trained with an american who listenes to this specific music. man show tip.

  • @MikeP1zzle David Banner, "Can There Be A Black President?"

  • I like how the first rapper comes to his mind is puff daddy, even rap fans don't like puff daddy.

  • @ConnDevi88 This is what happens when you(Adam Carolla) have never associated with negros, but believe you have, though some of the shit he says is funny as shit. lol

  • Hater niggas marry hater bitches and have hater kids

  • i like how he ripped on steve miller

  • hahahaha kashmir and talk over it hahahah omg UH UH

  • "I don't want to seem as racist as I am, as I feel..."

Jackson and Sharpton would be so happy to hear this. Their decades of liberal agitation have worked wonders on guilt tripping the white man.

  • bob marley does suck but I do like other reggae. I have fallen out of the rap loop cuz Atlanta's bullshit killed it for me.

  • Thank you Adam Carolla for saying what we are all thinking. I think he was a little harsh on Steve Miller, because he had some decent stuff, but overall he is dead on.

  • Haha Adam Corolla is hilarious, but he's generalizing a little too much and I'm sure he listens to some music that WE would think sucks.

Probably has a Red Hot Chili Peppers CD in his car right now...

  • Totally agree about rap music those rappers have no musical talent at all

Not sure if I agree about the police and bob marley though

  • hahahahaahah totally agree

  • People still listen to rap?! I thought that silly shit died in 1991.

  • @TheRedneckdragon

    says "Redneckdragon"

  • hip hop is crafted, packaged and marketed to the majority white audience that seems to like the portrayal of black men that is seen.

  • rap is dead

  • @RSrunner88 so rap is the way it is for white peoples benefit lol

    seriously ??

so why does every black fucker think hes a rapper why are they the one wearing pants half off their ass shooting eachother and degrading women

they do it cuz white people influenced them and told them it was cool?

black people look 2 whites for questions about wats "cool" ??

    i dont get u dude

  • @MADmentality It seems that what I said went completely over your head.

Hip Hop was an independent cultural movement that like everything in this country was seized upon by corporations that recognized it's popularity and profitability.

If progressive concepts sold like the tried and true misogyny, violence and decadence then the music would change but it doesn't.

  • @RSrunner88 u said that rap is package for the majority white audience because thats the kinda black representation that pleases the white rap audience

i think thats bullshit and rap is package the way it is because it appeals to black people more than anything

blaming white people for the vulgarity of rap are u serious lol dude

  • @MADmentality Lol look at the sales....and who buys 80% of mainstream hip hop =/

  • @MADmentality

Either your a complete waste of brain cells or you've been over saturated by American media which portrays black people as criminals, rappers, pimps or athletes. Looks like both.

I know Mcs who have tried to make it in the business but were rejected because of the content of their lyrics. That fact that they didn't talk about drugs, guns, hoes and money meant they didn't get signed.

  • @MADmentality judging from the emo crap you listen to, the only frame of reference you have concerning black people is either the kid that kicked your ass in High school or narrow minded thinking you got from your parents.

  • @RSrunner88 and i dont listen 2 emo i listen 2 metal hardcore new metal alt rock grundge punk reggae rap country R&B soul little bit of techno as seen on my favorites

and my reference for black people comes from the the countless blacks in my circle of friends and family which vary from unique totally average and embarrassingly stereotypical

  • @MADmentality yeahh hip hop is an ugly virus created by those lousy negro wearing those lousy sagging pants. they are still carrying dat jungle mentality. from african tribes..

  • the only thing keeping shit-hop alive is monopolies like clear channel radio and eMpTy-V(the mtc that was sold back in the late 80s) to some anti-euro-american, zionist jew bitch named sumner redstone.

  • OMG!! I love this guy!! Adam Carolla your now my idol! He's saying what I've been trying to tell people all along that these rappers just take already existing songs and just rap or talk over them and call the song their own. It's such bullshit. Thank you for posting this video!! The truth has to be told!

  • I'm sorry but i can't get into "I wanna drink goat's blood" or "I worship the Devil 24/7" all damn day.

Give me the "i like hoes, cars, and weed" every damn day.

  • @ LCash523:

Shitty music (and lyrics) exists in all genres. Your counter-example is perfect proof of that.

I love songs about weed, hoes and cars, but how about something a little more poetic or mind-expanding? If someone is going to cover the same ol' topics, they at least need to try harder and stand out more.

I like songs about life. About people. About emotions and feelings, and depression, and war, and places I'll never go, and things that no one else has said. To me...that's music

  • all the chords are used up so you can't make new music without getting used so hiphop is perfect. just us small parts of others songs and make new.

  • you don't need to listen to shit-hop to do sampling or have something other than certain chordes played. there is amazing electro music and a ton of amazing 80s synth music.

anyway shit-hop sales are down 45% since 2004. google it if you don't believe me.

kids today want something more. sure a few retards will still listen to it because mtv pumps it out, in fact they seem to be the only ones pumping it out. no wonder mtv sucks these days.
