Hi, Although "Wonderful Wonderful" was used so effectively in the X Files episode "Home", it was not actually sung by Johnny Mathis. A Johnny Mathis sound alike was used . Apparently Johnny Mathis didn't want his voice to be used as he wasn't comfortable with the subject matter of the episode. I along with just everyone else was fooled.

FYI In the X Files episode, "Home," the song "Wonderful, Wonderful (by Mathis) is included, but Mathis refused to provide permission to employ his voice due to the content of the episode. Another singer who sounded similar to Johnny Mathis was used (I didn't think Mathis would want one of his songs affiliated with that episode so I looked it up). However, the damage was done. Lots of folks think of "Home" when they hear this song and that particular episode was disgusting. :(
