i cant stand 6 strings, i own the ibby rgr321ex and it just feels like there should be More Neck, maybe i was destined for a 7 or 8? i love the fact theres lower strings, hope i get1 some day but ibanez really lacks punch in 7 and 8 area unless you are an endorser in a high profile band, you get them custom..the rg7321 looks decent, sounds good and is low priced.. idk who to go to really maybe agile or hufschmid guitars.. the 8 string by ibanez is probably a good choice

I love both my Universe 7 and my S7320. I have play other 7's but they both have the goods for me. It boils down to whatever gets the metal blood flowing is the guitar for you. To say this guitar or that guitar sucks balls is assine. It is how you pound out the riffs. Not just the guitar itself. I am sure Buzz and Ken can rip totally on any guitar but the Ibanezes are what they rip the best on. As a owner of 6 Ibanezes, 2 Jacksons and one Fender, Ibanez is what rocks this house.

It depends on do u play in a band. If u do, it will whole another process to change every song and tuning to another string. But if u don't, FUCK YEAH GO FOR IT!!! :D

@FYP666 Almost a year ago my band went from 6s to 7s. We only had 1 song written and scrapped it, hahaha, but our bass player couldn't get the money for the transition so we scrapped him. He suck anyways, not to be mean, but he doesn't know metal AT ALL, all his riffs were rock riffs. He just wanted to be in a band :p

@ZephMan13 I agree with FYP. If you are in a band, your other guitarist will have to buy a 7 string and your bassist will have to invest in a 5 string. It all has to match otherwise you'll be at odds when transcribing and writing new material.

I recently invested in a 7 string, though not an Ibanez like our dear idol Buz uses, I got a Schecter Omen 7. Plays beautifully. Though I will be replacing the pups with EMGs this week. The attack of a 7 string guitar is unequalled.

It will make you a better player. I like only one heavy band like this and it's Unearth. I mainly play for a fusion band, but I bought a Ibz 7. It's great, and I don't have to switch guitars. I already have that low string.
