I had the most mind blowing dream about Chris the other night. He was sitting in a hot tub with me, Sarah Palin and my nan.

I thoroughly loved Tiswas, I used to get up Saturday morning with a hangover & watch it with the kids all of us snuggled together on the settee with a blanket over us great fun & a great way to get over a hangover. To my mind the biggest problem with OTT was timing, it was on from 11pm to 11.45, aimed at a pub going adult audience but most of this audience didn't leave the pub till 11.20/11.30 by the time you got home you were lucky to catch the last ten minutes.

those were the days. we looked forward to saturday mornings then. me and my brother were there in the audience as my dad was in the steel band. it wasgreat fun. I managed to stay dry too!!

With Come Dancing.Dr Who & Krypton Factor back on our screens,not to mention plans to bring back TOTP,Minder & the Prisoner.How long before ITV Wans stuck for ideas department brings this back or some facsimilie.

@MrOldskooltillidie Well Dick and Dom in the bungalow was fairly recent and they threw about 50 buckets of custard around the studio EVERY WEEKEND. You have to feel sorry for the cleaners there.

Maybe they should have finished it all there.OTT got booed off air.Central took over ATV & axed Tiswas after 6 months in charge & saturday mornings got boring again.Theres cookery programmes on now-I rest my case!

Many children did try to watch 'OTT', but got a bit confused from what they saw!

The budget was good, the cast were superb, but it didn't work and was later by decision axed by Central in mid-1982 - due to the sexism.

If you wanted to see X rated cartoons about sexually bemused little business men, then you would have watched 'OTT'.

I remember watching this as a kid..Such a great atmosphere in the studio at the end, a classic show, was never the same after Tarrant left, the anarchy was gone...

My dad says the anarchy was there, but it seemed hollowed out and a bit "fake" i.e. put on. You got the feeling that they were being anarchic just so that they get paid. Tarrant, Henry, Carolgees and Gorman, along with James, were all naturally anarchic and hyperactive.

TISWAS was well past it's sell-by date by 1982 anyway. There's talk of bringing it back but it would never be the same, they'd never get away with all the innuendo and adult humour that went on that made is so good. By the way that was Lenny Henry not bloody Ainsley Harriot the chef (though Lenny did play a chef in a show called.. er.. Chef).
