This ending is PERFECT! It nicely leads up to the events of Episode IV, which makes sense as to why it's titled: "A New Hope". With most of the Jedi exterminated, Luke becomes the last hope to save the galaxy from Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine/Darth Sidious. However, I do find it kind of ironic that the Clonetroopers (who obviously become the Stormtroopers) killed most of the Jedi with little to no problem, yet they were defeated by Ewoks in Episode VI, lol.
Stupid Hayden Christensen,that scene was brilliant,James Earl Jones and his work was brilliant. But nyo Hayden just had to do the whole raise-arms-look-at-the-sky crap.
Really even a motion to be on the knees,banging the floor would've been better than that.

In the books about the events that happened between Episodes III and IV, we see they did an autopsy on her body and they realized that there was a lot of damage in her throat. So, yeah, Anakin/Vader killed her.

At 2:44-4:02 when Darth Vader is all suited up, I wonder if the actor was still wearing that face make-up under the helmet when they were making this scene. Someone tell me what they think. When they made this scene did he actually still wear that burnt make-up? Or was it back to a regular human actor face under it when the helmet was put on then. Cause I would imagine that it would be very uncomfortable with that over make-up and it could also ruin the inside of the mask while still wearing it.
I remember when i watched this movie in the theaters it was complete silence from 1:47 to when Darth Vader takes his first breath in the mask. Everyone was like "Oooh snap there he is!"

It was so sad when anakin was asking where padme is, and when the empreror said that he accidentally killed him, I could relate how heartbroken anakin was I mean you could almost feel his heart breaking

I can honestly say that I get all upset and sad when she dies, because the connection and bond these two amazing people had since they met. And everytime I watch this episode I think to myself "why" is everyone so greedy??
This relates to a problem we face today in this world.
It is the saddest thing ever...I want to cry at this scene if I'm really ina certain mood...

these scenes are so sad,
the bit where the emperor tells Darth vader that he killed her pains me, does choke you up,
but the emperor wasn't lying, anakin did kill padme with his vile deeds, it was too much for that little thing in the end.

She had lost the will to live. Aparently we have mastered space travel, advanced weponry, hover crafts, and many other advanced technology, but we still don't have the medical technology to keep her alive, or even give her a fighting chance.

If she thinks there is still good in him, why does she not stay alive to save him, or even wait? Gosh, silly bitch. Plus I think the way they filmed the Mustafar duel sucked! There was no emotion, no Dun Moch in their fighting, just a mere display of swordplay. Only at the beginning and end did we see emotion. What an utter let down. Boo Hayden!

Yeah, its true. I still expected the Mustafar duel to be alot more like, say, the ROTJ duel, full of emotion and suspense. Rather it was like a fencing recital crossed with gymnastics practice. And it felt like it too

ahh, now that i watch the original trilogy, anakin should have mentioned his wife before he died. like, he said leia was right all along and he should have said "so was your mother" or something. it seems odd now that he didn't mention her at all when the reason he became vader was mainly because of her.

Did u guys hear whatpadme said right before she died: "Obi-Wan, I know there is still good in him......" then she dies. Luke said the same thing, and succesfully brought him back to the good side. But Vaders equiptment didn't work so he died.

i think i need to rewatch the films to fully get wat happened. The one with han solo and basicly everything after anikin becomes darth vader is gone now, except for famed bits like, luke i am your father, take off the mask and vader release him.

At 2:44-4:02 when Darth Vader is all suited up, I wonder if the actor was still wearing that face make-up under the helmet when they were making this scene. Someone tell me what they think. When they made this scene did he actually still wear that burnt make-up? Or was it back to a regular human actor face under it when the helmet was put on then. Cause I would imagine that it would be very uncomfortable with that over make-up and it could also ruin the inside of the mask while still wearing it.

I dont blame Qui Gon either but I woldnt say Anakin did it for selfish reasons, I know he did it because he didnt want to loose Padme but it isnt like he did it because he wanted to stop HIS death or something like that. Actually they were quite selfish. He was willing to basically sacrifice the galaxy, the entire Jedi Order and the Galactic Republic, all for his woman. Thats pretty high on the selfish scale. He knew he was doing the wrong thing, he basically made a "deal with the devil"
