  • pretty flawed design: what about learning effects? the guy actually had time to consider how he could do those things better... what about the guy wondering, why would they ask me to read this stupid boring sentence over and over again?

  • A bit scary to let a scientist with a cap pointed backward do experience on your head! lol

  • love the hat , It's like he's taking the piss out of stupid teens who think that fashion is "cool"

    24 hrs a day ;)

  • What is with sideways cap?

  • This representation of a study is complete bullshit. The entire thing is a joke.

  • @toogle1234 Thank you for your attempt at a peer review. Allow me, as a peer, to review your review now: SHUT THE FUCK UP.

  • i can draw well and i caught the double THE instantly, doesn't mean i am a genius. plus wasn't he primed by having already tried the tests once before? seems like a flawed placebo to me, sorry

  • @beniceokay I Was NEVER A Good Drawer.

  • I can has Double Blind plox?

  • bob beck supporters swear by the magnetic pulses to the brain

  • this guy is a jerk off

  • This is geared to lay people with no knowledge of the scientific method. If you read his published article you can see that he did test for the placebo effect by fake stimuliting subjects and having them do the tests. His results were only produced when they went through the real stimulation.

  • that's why you don't trust someone who wears a cap like that.

  • How do you feel? Ok considering my bain is being microwaved

  • i saw the extra the lol that guy is fucked

  • well i guess it works, but it also might have a couple of undesired effects... i don't like the idea of playing with the thing that i hardly know how it works :P

  • "it is truly a pity when a beautiful theory is destroyed by a hideous fact" - F Wohler.

However, the methodology in the experiment is absolutely against any kind of known experimental doctrine - in order for any of these data to be even vaguely convincing, they would have to be obtained from a double-blind, high volume experiment. Besides, it's social sciences - there is always way more speculation than empirical evidence.

  • I would make a witty comment but my left brain is now suppressing my creativity. I wish i had magnets...

  • "we're gonna put magnetic pulses into your head. they're safe" LOL the guinea-guy probably had nothing in his head in the first place!

  • is this test really that scientific? you would be surprised how much a placebo can do, and I wouldn't be surprised that applying the machine and them thinking its going to make them smarter is playing a hand in it either.

  • nice hat brah. You totally seem to relate to my generation duuuude.

  • @MegaWolf most geniuses are eccentric.

  • @MegaWolf Yeah, EXACTLY.

  • how come he didnt try that on himself?

  • @cryonyits07done actually he already has: didn't you notice the ridiculous baseball cap he's wearing? that's because of the tests and all the brain-turning-off thing... he was a proper scientist before, now a complete douche.

  • interesting can they do this with a penis brain?

  • Precisely, this B grade professor could have even destroyed Da Vinci, Had been there?

  • If you let some tenured dork wearing a backwards baseball cap work on your brain, you get what you deserve.

  • Dr. Frankenstein did a fine job on Mike.

    He has epilepsy now.

  • @hillaroo666 point me to the article, or whatever you claim about this test subject and epilespy...very curious about it. thanks

  • @hillaroo666
