lol that black and grey mercedes at :28 is the same on that i have =) well i do have like 18 slot cars and they are all super cars so ya i would tend to have that one..
thanks to the last comment, and yes the 2 lanes are exactly 41 feet 6 inches long. The tracks are closer at some points so that you need to race to get there first, only one car can pass. And like you said, to compensate, I have measured the 2 lines to make sure one car does not gain 3 inches every lap. I was thinking to go digital one day, but the fans of slot car racing does not like the fact that if both cars are equal and I am running in front on DIgital, you will never get in front.
it is a truly impressive achievement here, but it seems to be suffering from a crucial flaw, namely th e complete uneveness of track distance in the two lanes. without 'crossovers' or digital lane switching one car will often be at a disadvantage.
unless you have made the overall distance the same to compensate...
When you are working on wood, you decide the lines, you carv them in the wood using a spindle, and then you apply 2 copper tapes on each side with the DC electricity that goes in them. Then you just need to attach you copper tape back to the Carrera Black box. I am not using any plastic track at all. Because your in DIgital, you won't be able to drop your Voltage to 9v or 7 v, because the digital black box needs a minimum current to switch the lanes. I hope the details will help
I am not sure I understand your question, but I have builded the track in wood, so that's why the cars are drifting, and the 2 lines are closer at some points.
