  • oh ok so you have to push down the kickstarter, ok thanks ill keep that in mind for next time

  • wtf 2 kicks max cold you just suck at life

  • Wrong start!! the right way is push the kick a bit over the top compression, let the kickstarter return and push it.

  • I'm 14 years old!!!!

I ride crf250r 2007 twin exhaust when it is cold give 2/3 times gas kick 1 time and it is started

a week ago i was by a friend he haves a KTM 250 SX 2010 when it's cold give 2/3 times gas kick 1 time and i had started so what is this video about??

    A BAD BIKE!!!!!!!!!!!!! OR RIDER!!!!!!!!!!

  • horrid starting lol.. didn't prime it or anything

  • my 250f cold start routine is

    -fuel on

    -pull choke

    -1/4 twist throttle

and it starts one kick (most every time)

  • @yittymitty11

    HELLO !

    SOQUI MAI DIQUI !

  • @komicharli english please

  • i know my ktm if you hulk smash the kickstart the bike says fuck you and doesn't start. mine you have to give a short throttle twist, then a smooth swift kick steady the whole way. no stomping for me. But my valves may be out and i'm fairly certain i have no throttle screw..

  • sexy fucking white plastics and black rims.... ops some one have a tissue?

  • You shouldn't kick a bit more than 2 or 3 times with choke on.

  • I got an 07 Yz250f and can someone plz tell me if i should blip the throttle at all before i try to start it to allow some fuel in the carb

  • u think this is cold start?? omFg!!!

  • kick it 5 times slowly with choke then one fast kick works every time for meeven if its -10

  • Dude if I had the money I'd buy a bike just like that. I have a yz 250 and being a 2 stoke it starts on the first or second kick(:

  • my crf250r wouldnt start in the cold or after being ridden for over an hour. so i took it to the shop. turns out my valves are screwed. adjusted them and it starts fine, have to rebuild the top end when it stops starting again :(

  • i'm a honda guy, but i love the look of your bike.. so clean and plain looking

  • tiny bit of throttle and 1 massive kick - goes first time :)

  • That is the sickest bike that I've ever seen!!!!!! : D

  • hey is i have a yzf 250 01 and it dosent cold start with choke but itll start when i dont put the choke on. is that ok?

  • Thats a nice ass bike

  • Ha! It was easy to start that one!

Now try to start a fully rebuilt 250f in that temp. A lot harder with it modded out!!!!!

  • thats a pretty sick bike

  • all you need is fuel injection!!! its that easy considering injection is the first process of the 4 stroke engine

  • does yours jump when it hits 1st gear? mine seems to wanna goose when i hit first then second ect

  • rmz 250 rule

  • have the same bike

  • i dont know if it's the camera but there is something that makes the bike look a lil' bit small in this vid:S

  • Oh, what a good "How to" video! Now I know EXACTLY how to start it!.... -.-

  • My CRF450 valves are a bit out id say, she NEARLY starts cold but it doesnt just wanna fire, itll start but stop instantly thats when i pump the throttle twice to put some fuel in then none when i kick it, thats the only way it seems to even start, yet it still dies, would you say its getting too much fuel or my valves are just out?

  • @LordEthan2 - It is possible your values could be tight. The other thing you could try here is to increase your idol speed, and check your air screw settings. Outside of that, I am not sure what to tell you.

  • @motomc65

    check valve clearence

  • @LordEthan2 answer 2 all ur 4strokes problems? GET A 2 STROKE!ftw

  • @LordEthan2 i think you problem is Honda haha get a Yamaha

  • @LordEthan2 iv got a crf 450 mate and this happens to me a bit just take it down to your local bike shop and ask them to shim your valves..

  • @LordEthan2 my yzf250 starts 1st kick cold but once it warms up its a fkn nightmare to start???????

  • @LordEthan2 i had that problem, try turning up the idle and if your bike has an accelerator pump give the throttle 3-6 times before starting.

  • @LordEthan2 the carb maybe dry my quad did the same thing i had to open the carb up and pour gas into it

  • @LordEthan2 ahhh the infamous honda valves!!!! relpace em and i bet it'll fire right up....what year crf by the way?

  • Hey Honda4wheelin...sounds like you have to spend a little time on a 4stroke. If you're trail ridding, the only thing you want is a great 4 stroke. The lighter the better. More power than you will ever need.

  • I don't really prefer a 2 stroke over a 4 stroke, I honestly just love riding, I own a 2 stroke, but that is because that's all I could afford, if i could find a 250 or a 450 for 250 bucks then for sure I would buy it, but I got an RM 250 for 250$, you really can't go wrong there. And when I was talking about the four strokes making power, i was talking about the strokes of the engine, the stages and all of that if you know what I'm talking about. :)

  • hes just tall that bikes fast as hell i prefer a crf 450

  • that bike is way to small for you lol

  • 2 stroke start cold engine with one kick

  • dont think so

  • Yep 2stroke r way 2 go,and the future every1!

  • lol yes, you kick it a few times.

  • ryt pal people shouldnt rate you down really cos evry one shud atleast know how to start it

  • thats a pretty mean looking bike

    what kind is it?

  • im thinking its a yamaha

  • ya

    that or a kawasaki

  • oh ya

    wow, i feel stupid

  • thats a yamaha 450f tock thats how you can buy them.

  • yeah its printed right on the bike. yamaha.

  • lol its yamaha pal

  • every one always says they have trouble starting to 450's....i got a 07 CRF 450 and it will start first kick most of the time...no priming choking or anything

  • I bought an 04 crf a couple of months ago, first bike :D

I found a couple of turns on the throttle before kicking normally fires it up ok when cold but after riding for a while it's a prick. Got stuck in the bush for about 2 hrs trying to start it on my first ride. Was nearly enough motivation to buy a dinger..... nearly :D

  • amazing bike dude!

  • starts are easy if know a little, all you need to know is basic mechanics & how engines work and what they need, first things learning about carburation & how much of a prick it is.

only problem i have with starts with my 426 is if i over oil the filter & it run a de-comp lever

  • ok i just bought a used 04 yzf 250 and its a bitch to start... it has one of those pressure realease things... im pretty new to riding so dont know to much lol... so what i seen is kick 5 times holding that pressure realease.. full throttle it then just kicck it over like normal 2 stroke is this all correct?? pls msg me back!!! lol =)

  • Every 4 stroke is a little different, and if your vavles are out of adjustment, then no mater what you do, it could be hard to start.

When cold try 1 or 2 full throttle pumps, then kick with NO throttle. When hot, don't use any throttle, but use the hot start lever if needed.

  • @motomc65 i like hondas no need for hot start

  • my 2004 yz250 starts on the 2nd to 3rd kick when its cold just put a lil manlyness in your kick

  • @ivismgivi i agree with motomc65, and also give full kicks.

  • I would recommend u the KTM 450 sx f .... gonna love that bike

  • yea really KTM is the shit!!! yamaha is purty bad too but not as bad

  • i turn on the choke and give it to generous full throttles then start....usually works

  • i am thinking about getting a 450 which would you recommend the 09 crf or yzf?

  • If you are just riding and racing motocross, and are a serious racer, and don't mind doing a lot of maintenance on your bike, then go with the CRF (I would get an 08 CRF, the 09 has some issues). If you do a lot of off road riding, and not just motocross, and don't want to do much work on your bike, then go with the YZF.

  • @motomc65 actually if your racing and in the market for a newer bike he's right the 09 had problems but on my honda it was harder to start cold but the easyist to start when it stalled

  • Looks like that throttle pump is key.
