It would be considered a pre-release if the single had yet to come out. This was the fourth show of the tour and the song wasn't a secret to anybody. The song came out on June 1st.

Plus, the single was more a release to promote the tour, not so much the album, which at this point may or may not even come out until late 2011/early 2012.

Just sayin'. It's a misleading title to those who think they may be hearing a rough take of the song.

Like said in another comment that "AeroZach1029" made is the single was more of a way to get people ready for the tour. And in my view to get people ready for the next album [when it comes out.] The point of pre-release I know what your getting at but it isn't even. Pre-release means before release, which would mean before the single too.
