Sure, 'Toledo'- an announcer like Art Gilmore would have delivered something like this, with a "pantomime" of T.C. and the gang wreak havoc on Dibble's nerves:
"This is a typical big ciry police officer. Every day, he deals with problems and pressures of every kind on his beat....sometimes, it gets to be too much for him {cue T.C. and his gang making exaggerated noise, with Dibble's face reacting}. If he had taken Bufferin sooner, he'd be feeling a lot better by now...."
"TOP CAT" was sponsored on alternate weeks by Kellogg's {Corn Flakes} and Bristol-Myers {Bufferin, etc.}. The cast didn't appear in any "integrated" Bristol-Myers ads during the show, but they did for Kellogg's. ABC didn't have color broadcast facilities until September 1962 (after "TOP CAT" was cancelled in prime-time, and Saturday morning repeats continued through the '60s)- but H-B filmed all of their cartoons in color because they KNEW TV's future was in color.

And yes, it was rather nice when studios like H-B saw color as something they needed to do in order for these things to continue being shown to this day (if only Japan had thought sooner, but that's another story).
