And to answer your question, it's just a single song from a whole movie. The whole movie wasn't based on MJ or anything, it was just that Thriller had released around the time of this movie and has a huge impact in the West, which spreaded towards India, and so as a reference/tribute, the song is like a Indian version of Thriller in terms of visuals.
