it's not even proven if time actually even exists or is just an illusion. the evidence is quite weak.

but i think it's indeed possible to go faster than speed of light, but you won't be going to past but rather everything appears to have slown down to you. and others can't see you except until much later when the speed of light catches up with your movement for them to see you. if you were to punch someone faster than speed of light he'd see the punch come after he's already fell on the floor

What if you built a time machine, went back in time, and killed your grandparents while they were a small child?They would've never given birth to your parents, and your parents would've never given birth to you. But then, who killed your grandparents? No one. @esmjml Your not recreating the event your just going to a different point in time. Your not going from the present to a later present alot like the past, it is going from one point to another by moving faster than time itself thus reversing the object's that goes back perception of time moving backward then incense undoing the event that had happened. Time Travel is possible. We've done it. It wasn't going into the past it was going to the future, but the concept still stands.

Actually the galaxies move away from each other in speeds faster than light, which might sound weird but it's because they in fact are completely still and are just transported by the expansion of the Universe - this means that galaxies far away enough from each other will be separated in super-light speed, just like the points on an expanding balloon.

@Laurelindo i kno and that is also why we cant see certain start that are past our event horizon :P. and eventually the stars that we can barely see now will also become invisible for us. but in those 3 months ive come up with a better idea to go faster then light. i let space time contract in front of me and expand it behind me. i dont accelarate but the distance covered in the time is HUGE and probably greater then lightspeed. in theory lolz you would need >1.21 gigawatts to do this xP

and the fact that is fyou travel back u dont change anything just fulfill your role in the current history. because if in for example 2018

u travel back to 1589 and you do something u dont change anything as we know it in 2009, because your time travel already happened and it leads to the history what is today.

@mikitymike They were explaining why galaxies can move away from each other in speeds that seem to be faster than light - the Universe itself expands like a balloon and pulls all galaxies with it, which means some galaxies are separated in speeds faster than light.

Last week I built a time machine in my basement. I went back in time and prevented myself from building the time machine. Now there is no time machine in my basement, and there's no evidence there ever was, so I guess it worked.

impossible because as soon your past self saw your future self you would start to remember about that time when your future self visited you when you were building your time machine and that's when that future self began to remember how some time ago HE was stopped by his future self and was stopped from building a time machine and it would go on forever.

It was very strange though, the other day i found these blue prints to a time machine and thought that after i built it i would go back in time and tell myself not to do it because "something goes horribly wrong" as soon as i thought that my future self came and told not to do that because something went "horribly wrong" as soon as he said that he exploded... i decided not to build the machine after all...

Has anyone seen the "the tenth dimension". If that theory is correct then there would be no paradox, because in all possible outcomes in all universes there should be one where you are not born. You would just be in a different dimension.If "The tenth Dimension" is accurate the posibillities are infinite.
