There's no need to discriminate against attractive scantily clad women. I know we would all prefer to see obese unattractive drooling knuckle draggers but hot chicks deserve to work as much as anyone else. The scene is in there for the dads who have a nostalgic fondness for the previous version of the special. It is their reward for having to sit through the rest of it and provides a valid reason to obtain it on DVD for closer frame-by-frame inspection once the kids are tucked in.

I actually do like they way they combined this into one scene, cutting back and forth between them as they do their songs, rather than each doing his entire song separately, as in the original animated version.
