Explorers and scientists strive to explore all areas of earth, from the deepest of seas to the tops of mountains, and especially strive to discover new and exciting species. Something as large as a hominoid (which he claims are almost 7ft?) would not stay undiscovered for long...unless it didn't exist...

The Patterson video doesn't look like a costume to me. It would appear to be the best video evidence to date. I think it is one of the few solid pieces of data that supports the argument for Big Foot.

That film of the blackfoot walking along the river bank was debunked. I saw a documentary, with the guy's best friend walking down the street, and he looked, and walked just like the blackfoot, arms swinging, looking back, exactly the same. I do not believe this film is real.

They are not in the same family. Giant pandas are in the bear (Ursidae) family, but the red panda is Ailuridae, which is it's own independent family, but part of the trichotomy in the Musteloidea family which includes skunks (Mephitidae), weasels (Mustelidae) , and yes, raccoons (Procyonidae).
